In light of recent news, I think that would be in poor taste:

Has there been any word on an Injustice sequel? Has to happen right?

NRS is pouring all their focus into MK. Injustice 2 isnt something we will hear about till next year

After seeing the story cutscenes in MKX, I am honestly already hyped for Injustice 2.

Cool. I don't mind not hearing about it till they're ready as long as it happens. I'd like it to become a regular staple fighter.

And yeah I love when fighting games do story modes and cut scenes properly to reward solo play.

I dont play fighting games online and so I found MK9 and Injustice's story campaigns very nice to have. The quality wasn't bad either

is that for real?

if it is, then I'm sorry about that man's passing. :csad:

but how did he die from an uppercut from Batman? someone dressed as Batman punched him and killed him??

edit: just checked, and I guess it is a real story. :(

and I see the reasoning behind the Batman reference.

in light of that, I will amend my original post.

He died but it's not known how. His family wrote that to honor him,He was a huge Batman/comic book fan and had a huge sense of humor

Although Batman fans should be furious and outraged that anyone would suggest Batman would intentionally break his golden rule.

yeah. I read that.

but 31 is too young to die. :csad:

I don't know about my fellow fans but I'm not and should I really? That type of death seems more like accidental during a fight than intentionally and I think it's a cool for a family to honor a love one like that becuase as a fan he would like that

I have never been a big fighting game fan and I only own a few of them and tend to not play them that much but I found injustices to be really good and better then mortal kombat and I need to play the game a lot more so I would be interested in a injustice 2.

It will be such a great day when Injustice 2 is announced with a trailer shown. I just hope that with that game and MK after this one,NR starts to increase the roster sizes. F***k just 25,Injustice 2 better be at least 40..plus dlc characters!

The one thing I don't like about Injustice is that I don't like fighting with Batman and he's my favorite character. If he were more like Batman in the Arkham series, I would be so much more satisfied.

I had no problem with Batman besides his default suit like most other characters but if he were to have his Arkham moves and gadgets..that'd be pretty damn awesome. His finisher could be like an Arkham combo or something

Agreed, I had stopped playing fighting games for a long time because the focus was pretty much on playing against others online, which is fair enough, its probably where a fighting game either lives or dies but it was refreshing to play a fighting game where the single player was actually fun to play through and had a half decent effort at a story, some of the ones from the past in terms of "story" had a lot to be desired but Injustice was a massive improvement in that regard.

What I like from what I can see of Mortal Kombat X is that Netherrealm Studios seem to strive for implementing exciting new ideas in each game, which makes each game (Mortal Kombat, Injustice, Mortal Kombat X) feel fresh. They don't seem afraid to change things up such as the selection of characters. They add stuff that actually changes the gameplay such as X-Ray, interaction with the environment, variations of each character etc.

Compare that to a studio like Namco Bandai. They were in the top of the ranks back in the days when they weren't afraid to change things up (Tekken 3, Tekken Tag Tournament, Tekken 5). Nowadays they're basically rehashing the same game with slightly better graphics and one or two new mechanics that don't even feel new (Rage, Street Fighter-esque supers), and add two or three new characters where the rest of the characters are pretty much exactly the same as before. Same goes for Soul Calibur.

I get the feeling that Netherrealm Studios really enjoy what they're doing and truly have fun coming up with new ideas, compared to other fighting game developers. I think that's what makes Netherrealm slowly (or quickly?) taking the top spot in many people's eyes.

It might be to do with a preference for playing with DC characters who haven't been done properly (DC vs MK apart which was of a much lower standard) but I'm very much looking forward to both.

Well, I was joking. I don't really want Batman in the game, though. I mean, it's easy to ignore, but I just don't care about Batman anymore really.

I love Batman as well and didnt really much use him in Injustice either. It wasn't like he was a bad character or had a poor move set, he was one of the best, IDK, I guess I just wanted to focus on characters that I hadn't got to play with in other games as much, Green Lantern, Bane, Aquaman etc.
