I just hope they're all new, unique animations, and not the "regular combo with an explosion at the end" type of thing. Why some people hold the classic Brutality so dear is beyond me, but I'm eager to see how they've been revamped for a new generation.

I want Spawn and the Predator in MKX.

I wonder what the chances are to get someone in for promotional purposes like Ultron since the Avengers movie is coming out or someone like Darth Vader with Star Wars.

Eh, I wouldn't want something like that to happen at all. Characters being added as some kind of promotional stunt. I want characters that would fit right at home in the MK-verse.

a Disney character? I doubt it. WB is more likely to use their own rich history of IPs to cross promote

Spawn is a '90s trash character, but at least he fits with the overall look and tone of MK. Predator is a bit of a stretch, but the whole schtick of what the species does could at least work.

But Ulton and Darth Vader. Lol, what the ****. That would be just the worst idea.

Neither character is at all a stretch. Its incredibly easy to see both characters coming from the minds of Boon and Co. Spawn, the rebel servant of the underworld and the Predator, a creature drawn to combat. What better combat than a tournament featuring multiple realms of the top fighters? If you can accept 'Outworld' you can accept a creature from another planet.

I highly doubt warner bros would have star wars or marvel characters in their game, and vice versa since they are competition

Predator is a stretch in the sense that the series has mostly stuck to fantasy as opposed to otherworldly aliens science ficiton, but as I said in that post, the whole schtick of the Predator is it going from world to world and all makes it to where it could fit (I guess it could fit mostly anywhere really ). My post was an affirmative to those character fitting.

Eh, has kind of a cool look and all, but the comics I've read were always horrible. I don't know if they got better, but for most part it just seemed like the usual junk of the mainstream '90s comics.

EDIT: They showed brutalities. From what I understand, you have to do specific things during a match in order to be able to perform a brutality. You do them before the end of a match. Basically you do them during the end of combo or move (some may even be just a button press) when the other fighter's health bar is almost depleted. They look like mini fatalities and some of them are based on special moves or throws. They have over 100 of them.

Well they sure were brutal I'll give them that, also character reveals soon. The game looks fast and slick, a nice update since Injustice with a lot more moves involved.

Maybe they shouldn't have used the same name, but I actually like them more than the classic brutalities. Those were just a long combo that ended with the opponent exploding. I never really cared for them. I was not interested when they announced they were back and I would have preferred friendships. I am interested now though.

I agree. I didn't care for them. Plus once you saw one character's you saw them all. Since there was nothing unique for each character.
