Here's the latest Kombat Kast on youtube. The story part starts at 14:38. It's a portion from the middle of chapter 1.

I finally found the Kollector's Edition for the PC that includes the Scorpion statue and costs 99€, but the Kombat Pack is not included. I had no idea. I guess I'll probably skip any special editions this time.

Spoiler warning: If you don't want to see it move on

[blackout]This Johnny Cage is a badass.
Whoever this Sub-Zero is, doesn't look like the same guy from the trailer.[/blackout]

Apparently, it was confirmed via a twitter thing that MKX's multiplayer will be region locked.

I don't play online and so it doesn't affect me but what exactly does it mean and why is it so bad?

You can only play online with people in your region. Im in the US, so that restricts me to North American players. Europe will only be able to play with other European players. Japan, etc... Not only does it fracture the online community, but if you have friends in other countries, then you cant play with them.

mutha$@!$! Thats some BS and I cant believe NRS are doing this yet again

Wait, what other NR game (or any game for that matter) did this? I'm pretty sure I played MK9 with players from other regions.

In this day and age, that's pretty bad. Next gen online gaming? I understand that fighting games don't work that well when playing with people from overseas, but still, if someone wants to play with their friends from other countries they should be able to. (Although in ranked matches some kind of restrictions might actually be a good thing, but that's different).

Well, hopefully the online in MKX is better than MK9.

Like the Season Pass for this game, region locked online gaming sucks ass.

Anyways, I still can't get over how awesome the story mode looks like it's going to be. Johnny Cage is bad ass, Kenshi is still bae, and that alternate costume for Sub-Zero....:up:

Injustice, their last fighter. I remember Nathan and I on here tried to play that once together one afternoon. After countless attempts to get it to work, I went online and learned that the game was region locked for online matches

This has got to be a bloody joke. It's 2015. Region locked online gaming shouldn't even be a goddamn thing. Is this them basically admitting that they can't program a netcode worth a damn? They'd almost be one of the best fighting game developers, if they could only get this bull**** sorted out.

Wow had no clue that Injustice was region locked, but then again I only played with a friend from same region and ranked matches.

On topic: Who are you guys most interested in playing/maining so far? I'm leaning toward Kenshi (and now they will probably announce that he's not playable). Never played him in MK 9 because I didn't buy the dlc, but he looks awesome in this.

This. I remember trying to play MK9 with a group in lobby, and like every 5min it kicked someone out. Injustice was ok for the most part. My irl friends usually give up after a couple of matches or just don't play fighting games and I'm from a region where there is not muchplayers to begin with, so bad online can pretty much ruin the multiplayer aspect of the game for me.

In regards to the new characters, I'm interested in Cassie Cage, Ferra/Torr and D'Vorah the most. As for vets Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Mileena and Johnny Cage.

I was gonna get the Kollectors Edition but I detest the look of that Scorpion statue. I just went with Limited.

I'm gonna guess that at the early part of the story is MK 4. Scorpion still under control of the Spector (and Shinnok) and I'm willing to bet Sub-Zero is too. May also explain his appearance.

Ermac
Goro
Jason
Johnny Cage
Khan
Kung Lao
Scorpion
Sub-Zero
Quan-Chi

If the story is MK4 in a new timeline,Then I want Cyrax,Nightwolf,Sektor and Stryker as DLC !

I wonder if I am the only one thinking about waiting for the Complete Edition. Goro as pre-order, Jason as DLC, no worldwide online multiplayer. I still think the game will be fantastic, but I don't feel like I have to get it at launch anymore, or any time soon.

I wasn't planning to get it at launch, so you're not the only one. Not sure if I'll wait for the Komplete Edition or not, but maybe. I'm really only interested in the single player stuff.

I said it when I first entered the discussion of this game.
I'll wait for the complete edition.

Im getting the game at launch and trading up for the Komplete edition down the line
