Kung Jin is reportedly the first MK gay character (I guess Scorpion fixation with Sub Zero is just that )

There is a line by Rayden in the flashback in story mode that hints at his sexuality, and it was confirmed by some producer

Glad the feedback is overall positive, I read about yesterday was waiting to hear the storm it would cause.

Outside of a few "not playing as him/not buying the game" comments, it seems to be overwhelmingly positive.

There's been comments of not buying he game because a new character is gay? Wow some people like to find any little reason to boycott stuff. Not playing as a character because of being homophobic is already dumb but whatever however not getting the game itself mainly for that reason makes me want to upper cut those people MK style!

Funny thing with Reptile is I don't know why they just don't make him a human-ish looking Ninja.. The whole point is for him to blend in right? Then as he battles let his skin get torn to show scales underneath.. Give him reptile looking eyes (I'm still trying to figure out what's up with Sub's eyes. Are they just frosted over?), etc. every costume or look he's had since 4 has been meh.

This one is better.. But still.

As the series went one I don't think the blending in thing was a factor. You can see in MKX he's just Reptile being Reptile in Outworld.

He also got possessed by Onaga at one point pre-MK9, and he subsequently got more and more lizard-like. This one being the worst:

Oh I know.. But 9 rebooted everything, right? So I figured maybe he'd go back to wanting to blend in.

Either way.. He should, damnit.

And I really hope Onaga never returns.

He's technically never really been a bad guy either, he's always hovered around this neutral zone. I actually really like the idea of him regaining his humanity because it gives the creative team a chance to take the character in a new direction, the Scorpion/Sub-Zero rivalry has been going on for 20+ years now and there's only so much you can do with that. He clearly hates the name 'Scorpion' though so it's going to be interesting to see whether he retains that name moving forward.

Yea that's about the only thing from this games story that has me intrigued for the future.

You are not alone. Also I was hoping the characters would have more than 2 each.

I've seemed to generally like at least one fatality per character. Considering they all have about 5 brutalities make up for it. Those are way more fun to pull off.

Okay, it might take a little while to get the game but from everything so far...and I spoiled myself watching cutscenes one youtube...much like MK9 before I bought it a few weeks back but:

-Like the new gen of heroes and Erron Black...(the rest..Kotal, Terra/Forr, D'Vorah...all look like they could be from other games...especially Kotal who I still think looks like Ogre from Tekken)

-Liked the story

The resemblance is uncanny, since I first saw this Kahn I thought of Ogre's first form.
