marvel legend wise... i think....
-toad ML1
-dark phoenix ML6
-maskless wolverine ML3
-gold/ditko ironman ML1
-stealth ironman ML1
-Red Dawn psylocke ML 14
-Silver Shirted Luke Cage ML14

McFarlane Metal Gear Solid figures.

marvel legends stealth iron man

but i agree with the first posted, the dude that paid like 3grand for the psylocke and luke cage.....wow

Mego figures and vintage star wars figures (some particular ones, like vintage 12 backs) generally go for a good chunk of change. I've seen some star wars vintage figures go for $25,000, Mego figures go for $800+.

ML figures rarely go past the $80 mark, with the exception of the ML14 variants that somehow made it onto ebay and I think the ML3 unmasked Wolvy was the highest priced ML ever for a while, until more were rereleased.

Also, there were those unlucky few who bought the Scarlet Witch thinking she was cancelled and paid $90 for her, then a few weeks later she was making a decent peg warmer.

I think the McFarlane sports figures are pretty expensive at times also.

Also, if you're talking about the current retail market, it's tough to say what the "most expensive figure" is. I'd argue that HML at KB are the most expensive figures per amount of plastic and quality, being I think 11.99 or 12.99. Star Wars figures are always a rip off.

went to hastings and found hml2 for 14.99
i think kb is an alright price now
especially since i have a 30% discount there

Define figure. ML Icons are action figures and $39.99 a pop. I'd think the most expensive are the Transformers Masterpiece line from Takara. MP-03 Starscream and MP-04 Convoy Complete version are expensive. Screamer is $109.99 and MP-04 is $189.99.

Kingdom Come Batman and Superman, batman goes for about $75-$85 and Superman is around $45-$50

Pallisades Muppets series 3 Zoot (Brown Shirt) almost $200 sometimes.

I agree the Spider-Man 3 figures are too much. I saw them at a couple of places going for about $9.99-$13.99. Wal-Mart has them for $7.88.

Saint553 is right about the Scarlet Witch figure, I found two last month, one at Wal-Mart for $7.88 and the other at K-Mart for $8.99. She's pretty easy to find now. She wasn't worth $90 bucks, but definately worth a purchase nonetheless. I picked up both.

Another series I can't understand why it's so much is the 'Real Action Heroes' (RAH) figures. Those go for about $200 a piece. I don't know what makes them so special, maybe it's the material or some special mold they use, but I can't see paying that much for a 10-12'' figure. I wanted a couple of them, but after seeing that price I decided to pass.

Agreed on the SM3 figures. They're not even that good.

It's because they're so limited. I only have the Blade Ver. 1, which is probably the most rare of them all next to the Comic Symbiote Spidey(I got Blade for about $250, and the Symbiote Spidey goes for about $300), but I can tell you this, it's a GREAT figure!:word: Just be VERY careful with the bodies, I used to have the Comic Wolverine(Which is another excellent figure, BTW), and I broke the shoulder joint on him :csad: . I had the Comic Venom, which is alittle on the small and bland side, but it was still a cool figure.:yay: Ive also heard(And seen) the Medicom Cyclops is one of the best aswell.

If you have the $$$(Cyclops and both Wolverines don't go for much, good way to start out a collection of them ;) ), I'd suggest picking up one.

Guilty....for twice that, though I was kinda scammed...remember when I payed $180 and only got an Ionic Wonderman.....Now I've got three MOC Scalet witched sitting around.

Sorry dude. You coulda payed me $90 to kick you in the nuts. You probably would have had the same feeling.

I recall you saying something similar at the time.

I'm good....I just paid $15 to lose my most favorite hair ever....I feel low enough.

I've seen Nightwing and Harley Quinn from the Hush series go for around 40-50 bucks on eBay. I bought the Toyfare exclusive Jason Todd from that series for $71.00 on eBay, the most I've spent on a figure yet.
