Which of the following MUST be a plotline or a two-movie arc in the future sequels based on significance in the comic canon and general action and drama involved?

Oh, whoops, I voted the Lizard but I personally think that should only take one movie. I didn't read your post about a two-movie arc. I'd say an important one would be the Hobgoblins, but have it integrated with other subplots and villains.

I'd like to see Venom survive in 3, then return in 4 and lead up to Carnage.
But since this poll doesn't have that option, I voted for Scorpion cause he's one of my favorites!

A mixture of Kraven's Last Hunt with The Lizard storyline.

Then for a another movie a JJJ/Scorpion storyline.

I don't really think any of them would work well except for a Lizard story, but he would have to be only one of a number of villains in the sequel, since any one villain is no longer a challenge to Spidey.

Well that's not necessarily true. He'll fight 3 in SM3, but we don't know for sure if he fights them all at the same time. I think Lizard or Electro on their own would work.

Jameson's revenge would be awfully boring, and make the error SM2 made of having a good villain try to hold up a lot of the major plotline in a way the role really shouldn't. I don't really think Kraven's Last Hunt should be considered as Kraven isn't a massively well-known character to begin with and his death is pretty depressing. Conners doesn't really seem like the 100% way to go, as the script would be rather boring and droll to watch on the big screen. All others would require quite the fleshing-out to bring to the big screen. Overall, the Carnage symbiote would fall in line with where the storyline seems to be headed. I just wonder if he would be half as maniacal.

Secretly? I'd want a live-action version of Sins Past, just to see what public reaction would be.

For Sins Past to work Peter and Gwen would have had to have been together when Norman was alive, and he would have to be the one that killed her. The climactic point of Sins Past was when Gabriel became the Grey Goblin, and the fight wasn't even that great. Sure they could improve it on screen, but I don't want to see another goblin after 3.

Spider-Man 4: Lizard/Kraven storyline (must have)

Spider-Man 5: JJJ revenge/Scorpion storyline

Spider-Man 6: Carnage/possible return of Venom (in form of Mac Gargan)

You really want to see Scorpion with the Venom symbiote? Venom should definitely return, but only with Brock wearing the suit. Please Raimi, don't kill Eddie.:(

Don't you think Gargan would be better suited appearing as the Scorpion than in a role he's probably going to be Retcon Punched into never having in the first place? :)

I don't think we'll have to worry about seeing the death of Eddie Brock in this film, though from a lot of leaked information I've been hearing he may not keep the symbiote in the film's finale (though I hope that's false info).

They could just do like they did in the comics and have the symbiote bond with Eddie again and bust him out of jail.

Hey...i'd really like to see the CLONE SAGA

*Awaits Flaming!*

No i really would!

Carnage. Clone saga would be a decent straight to DVD trilogy.

Since we're seeing the symbiote, I think its important that we see Carnage.

None are a must, but the Scorpion story sounds most appealing.
