What's the highest number of movies you've managed to watch in a straight row in one sitting, with no break or rest time?

Six is my current number. Just the other day I watched all six of the Saw films in a straight row all day long, not breaking once. I also watched the first six Friday The 13th films in a row back in 1999 during a marathon of them on television, but had to stop because it was continuing rather late in the morning and I had to catch some shuteye.

I think four or five. When I was recovering from surgery and was stuck in bed for the most part(except when I changed DVDs)I watched all four Indiana Jones films back to back.

Another time I watched all three Extended Lord of the Rings films in one sitting.

A buddy and I had a Lord of the Rings marathon where we watched all three extended editions in one sitting.

Longest I ever tried was the original Star Wars trilogy the day I got the DVDs in all their unaltered goodness.

Does the same movie over and over again count?

For whatever reason a few years ago, I decided that I was going to watch The Empire Strikes Back as many times as I possibly could. In one day I would watch it around 7 times. I did this for a month. It was summer vacation.

I saw that movie more in that one month than most people will in their entire lifetimes.
Rather silly.

Never got tired of it, though.

I suppose multiple rewatches of a particular film in a row can count.

Only 3 .

I'll watch the original Star Wars trilogy annually . I can't put one in without watching the others. I'm thinking of doing a saga marathon when they all come out on blu ray.

As far as watching the same movie over and over, in an old theater where they never bothered to clean until it closed my brothers and I would sit through Terminator 2, Robocop 1&2 and others from about noon to close.

Star Wars I-VI

Rocky I-V (right before the last one came out in theater)

Rambo 1-3 (same as Rocky)

Iron Man, then the Incredible Hulk since they kind of connected

The FX Channel Super Hero Sunday movie marathons

Aliens quadrilogy when I got them on dvd.

I had a marathon of all four Indiana Jones films. It was awesome. I tried doing it with the LOTR film but my timing was off. I was on ROTK and it was late at night and I fell asleep. I have to do it again, but with the extended editions.

Eventually I need to do it with all six SW films as well.

Only two for me. I, at the very least, have to get up and do something between movies

I watched all 3 LOTR movies in one go one Saturday. The Extended cuts, although I don't recall, I might have watched the theatrical cut of ROTK because I prefer it.

I don't recall watching all 3 SW OT movies in one go on dvd, but I saw them back to back at the cinema back in '84(not long after Jedi was released anyway). I managed to get to see two seperate trilogy showings. I wish cinemas would do more trilogy showings like that.

Three movies in a row on two occasions. Once, my dad and I watched all three Matrix movies on Showtime. The other time was a Troma Fest at the small theater in my college town, with Cannibal! The Musical, The Toxic Avenger, and Surf Nazis Must Die.

I made a bet with my buddy i could watch Jaws for 24 hours straight.

I did, and in total that was exactly 12 showings!!!

extended lotr marathon is pretty brutal but better with friends

i've done the 6 starwars in a row on two separate ocasions. i dont reccomend it, the trilogies just don't flow well together, seperate they are fun though

I topped my record today, I spent all day watching all twelve Friday The 13th films (including Freddy Vs. Jason and the 2009 movie) in a straight row with no breaktime at all sans occasionally using the the bathroom or getting a drink or a snack. I began my marathon at Thursday The 12th at 9:30 PM, and ended at almost 4:30 PM earlier today. Twelve movies is the most I've ever done in one sitting and it's likely to remain at that number.

The Planet of the Apes box set when it came out. I watched all 5 one after the other But i had to take small breaks in between. Just couldn't make it all the way through:o......

I have a dollar theater in my hometown (all movies are $1 during the day, and it's a regular movie theater with new releases), and I knocked out 3 movies in one day: There Will Be Blood, No Country For Old Men, and Atonement. It was awwwwwesome.

6 is my record,I have a Star Wars and a Planet of the Apes marathon once a year&1/2 or two!!

Someone said both SW trilogy's together does not flow well,I kinda agree But I still think it's fun and I appreciate the prequels even much more when together!!

I've had many many marathons in my life,But yeah 6 is the most I can handle with no big breaks!!

All three Lord of the Rings Extended Editions.

Three films, twelve hours altogether.

I never watched any of the Harry Potter movies before, and did the first 5 together at once. So now I can't really tell them apart because it's just one long chain of stuff

One of these days I'm going to watch the Back to the Future trilogy and Indiana Jones movies back to back. I need to pick out a day though, most likely a day I'm hung over.

I recently just did a Wath of allthe HP movies so far in one sitting that's 7 Movies in one sitting.

I'd say the most I've ever done was 5 or 6. One of these days I may try to watch all the Star Trek films back to back. I've come close to doing it but always get interrupted with something.

I also want to watch all the Halloween films back to back. The most I ever did was 3 in a row.

A buddy and I had a Lord of the Rings marathon where we watched all three extended editions in one sitting.

I tried doing that once with friends and while we love LOTR it damn near killed is.
