Location: Philippines
Time: approximately 9pm
We're driving home from a busy day sightseeing and doing the whole tourist thing (which I hate doing, because my family loves taking pictures and pictures are the DEVIL!). I'm looking forward to getting back to my uncle's house and getting hammered off of cheap beer and singing some very bad karaoke (ALL Filipinos sing karaoke... don't let them lie to you).
There's a traffic jam up ahead.
We get closer and we see... something horrible. It was so shocking to see this in person. Just like in the movies except I'm seeing it with my own two slanted eyes. There, in the middle of the road was...
half of a human brain
... while our car advances further along we see more brain tissue, streaks of blood, other human carnage, and then we see the body. It was a girl who was riding her bike late at night on this busy road. Hit and run of course, we saw half of her face still attached to her body. The other half was just all over the road. Most horrible thing I've ever seen in my life. Everybody in our car was aghast... I felt such sadness in that moment... she was maybe about 14 or 15 at oldest. Horrible, shockingly horrible.
... then I figured, man, I'm glad I haven't seen anything all those times I've deployed to the desert (air force). I wouldn't know how to deal with it.
