I was thinking about how films seem to fail to meet expectations. I myself am not a superman fan, but I became excited about superman returns, and was let down by it. POTC 2 is another film that failed to achieve what it promised. Donnie Darko is another over-hyped film by it's fans, which failed to meet the standard people said it was.

It seems lots of films fail to meet their own marks, anyone got any films that really disapointed them?

i didnt expect FF4 to be much good, i never really liked the comics that much, and the railer was a little weak, only saving grace was doom, i think it's impossible to make doom not cool, although they did try

X-men: Last Stand ALL THE WAY

GLITTER! lol, never seen but from what I've heard ... terrible.:down

T3...what a god damn mess

Most underachieving film?
Any marvel film.

I'll say the Matrix Sequels, the X-men movies (except the 3rd one because I haven't seen it yet) the StarWars prequels and the first and 3rd original StarWars films.

Crybaby? Why I'm not crying.
I'm jumping for joy that POTC2 is kicking all kinds of ass.

But greatness was hardly expected of it. It's not like it was Ridley Scott directing from a Robert Towne script with Ian McKellen and Jodie Foster co-starring.

Superman Returns failed to impress as did Fantastic Four and Blade Trinity.

All the Star Wars prequels. Craptastic 4. X3, I enjoyed it for what it was, but it could've been much better, ditto for Superman Returns. The Matrix sequels.

SW-I, SW-II, T3, Jurassic Park 2 and 3, The Matrix 2 and 3, Transporter 2, X3.

"Batman Begins"

Because I was hoping that a good director would come along, ignore the Schumacher films, and start right where "Batman Returns" left off.

Instead I got Christopher Nolan, who pissed all over Burton's great work.

X3 and SR, on the other hand, did NOT dissapoint me.

what about revenge of the sith, that was just as bad as attack of the clones, really a letdown, how could the fall of so many jedi's be made so crappy?

I think batman begins was OK, it was good they restarted, as continuing from Burton would have failed, it needed a fresh start. Although a lot of people on here will argue for Nolan being better than Burton, I'm on your side, but watch out! these people love to argue
