I saw the trailer for 2046,im not sure it is my type of movie

you have to watch in the mood for love and 2046 back to back, they are the most beautiful films i've ever seen, i was almost in tears from the sheer sumptuous visual pleasure, fantastic story and superb acting.

I watched in the mood for love, then i had planned to go to bed, but it was so good i had to watch 2046 after. Seriously, WOW

I got Munich on DVD all the reviews Ive read and all the people have seen it said it's ****ing awesome

For me Spielberg as never stopped delivering except Hook and i never liked E.T. :(

I also have Munich on DVD.

Well, SPielberg is great director, the only his problem is that it isn't now his time.

And I thought E.T. was just a good movie, which then became overrated by most of people.

Munich??? That's the worst film i've seen in cinema's this year, it was so pointless and heartless. What ever happened to spielberg?

Are you serious? Munich is one of his best films to date.

poor camera technique, terrible story, awful pace. Characters no-one cares about, this isn't spielberg, give me duel or jaws anyday!

i would say that..... it was ok.slightly boring.

even the terminal with a stupid plot was made into a masterpiece by speilberg:up:

don't even try talking to him.
His taste are so much better than ours that we are inferior beings to him.

jurassic park 3 was missing story

You know, that's the whole problem of the movie in a nutshell. It was like the characters were actually wandering around waiting for the story to start, and it never did.

Here's the amazing thing.....only weeks before shooting for JP3 began, the whole storylone was dropped and a new one came in at the last minute - the one that ended up being used in the movie. In which case......imagine how pathetic the first one must have been....

Did someone post about King Kong? Oh yes definitely King Kong.

It needs a director's Cut-down, not an extended edition. 3 hours was too much and the story with the Sailor and the kid sucked.

I'll take Lost World Jurrasic Park over King Kong, though both weren't that great. lost world at least wasn't trying to be friggin Gone with the Wind.

i highly disagree with poor camera technique....... thats the only reason i think this movie was ok. not many directors can match what spielberg does with his camera

Relax, he's just voicing his opinions as we all are here. That's the point of this whole discussion. :)

Lost World was trying to be King Kong and Godzilla and Capitalism-is-Evil ;)

Great trailer sequence though.

director wise, kubrik and hitchcock handled their camera's well(perfectly), spielberg was more of a fitting into the camera than a camera fitting for the film kinda guy. Which works to an extent, depending on subject matter, jaws worked this way because he crammed what he wanted into the shot, but munich has overcrowded shots, and he tries to get things into the shot at the expense of visual pleasure.

:D Can you tell me your arguments and explanation why you are disagreed with me? :)

Well to me he hasn't regressed he has diversified
To me Minority Report,WOTW,Catch me if you can and Saving Private Ryan easily match his works from the late 70's and 80's they just approach material differently, just my opinion:)

the endings have never been the strong point in the jp series (jp1s ending was great though).....but common the ending for jp3 was just over the top(how did ellie(whats her name?)get an enitre army over there?

it was just missing the mystery and heavy story that lost world or JP1 had.....they were just on an island with dinos.

sam neil better be in jp4......and they must stick to the story.

im not saying lost world was fantastic..... it just had story

No one can duplicate what Spielberg does with his camera. The story was more heartfelt and riviting than I thought it would be as were the characters.
Even though the pace was slow thats what i would expect just from the type of movie I was watching.

Agreed (except WOTW), but I meant "time" as this century, as 2000s.

Minority Report was just good movie.

Only Catch me if you can and Munich made me very positive.

But if I was talking about 70s-200s, I would admit that I liked and loved enough his movies.

And as you know, my favorite franchise was is and will always be Indiana Jones, which was made by Spielberg.

its impossible to hate every spielberg film..........and thats a fact

Spielberg should stick to sci-fi, he's better at it. Heartfelt conflict stories aren't his specialty. They'll al be rated against schindlers list, so even the good ones(if he ever makes them) will seem bad.

I somehow found the action sequences were very dull, banna didn't really convince me of his role, and there were so many unneccessary parts. The idea was great, a revenge movie, where you don't want to take the revenge(i know that's not the whole thing, but it's the most interesting part), but we have seen this done better in mr. vengeance, where revenge has to be taken, even tough we sypathise with the original act. How one person's greed causes so much suffering of innocents. Mr. vengeance was a reasonably slow film too, but managed much better characterisation, and was a better story and was much more pleasing in every aspect.

Lost World did have story, and it was a worthy companion piece to the first movie. Jurassic Park is very colourful and about family, The Lost World is very dark and cynical and about the evil of capitalism. In the first, Malcolm is comic relief and exciteable, in the second he's brooding and nagative.

And what is Jp3 compared to those too? A saturday morning cartoon. Jurassic Park Adventures.
