no it wasn't you. I'm just tired. Wasn't seeing straight.

that's what I was thinking. It must have been for SR. Too bad it sucked.

I would argue that, for the hype both films generated, they both sucked pretty hard when all was said and done.

Just for the record, I had no trouble posting during "Iron Man weekend", so that was cool.

You can't compare Iron Man to TDK. Seriously, when TDK is released this place is gonna crash. I say we take the discussions over to ComingSoon.

i don't get it really, Spidey is bigger than Batman and had more people coming to the site, but i don't remember the slowdowns like this so often

The difference with Spider-Man is that most people who post at the Spidey forums are people who also post at other sections of SHH. With TDK it seems like there's a bunch of people who come JUST to discuss that movie. So when you combine that group with the rest of us it causes the places to crash.

I'm guessing Friday will be the day.

I'd be seriously surprised if the record fell sometime this weekend. Too many people will actually be out seeing The Dark Knight as opposed to being on here.

It'll be busy as hell, for sure.

To many people will also after the movie be wanting to talk about it here instead of doing lively things

What happened on June 27th two years ago that had that many people online?

Everyone was busy wishing me a Happy Birthday. :oldrazz:

Seriously, it was the Spiderman teaser. I remember it well.

And I'm imagining that I will have an easier time getting TDK tickets this weekend than I will accessing any of these boards.

When you think about it, these boards really should have a bigger all-time high user number than 2,580. I'm sure that record could be broken this weekend, but if the servers can't handle the load then perhaps not. After all, if you can't even get into the forums then you won't get counted as part of the user number, correct?

Personally, I refuse to go to the boards, even my favorite ones (like this one; no I'm not sucking up) after I've just come from a movie. ESPECIALLY IMDb. I like to sulk into my own opinions of the movie and replay my favorite scenes over and over in my head. I won't read any reviews (although I rarely do, ever) or fan raves and/or rants until maybe at LEAST two weeks. I don't need fanboy over analyzing & questions ruining anything, lol.

Sure, by the time I get back and read the threads they'll be 200 pages long by then, but I'll be fine.

So far, on Rotten Tomatoes the score is 91% fresh. Its funny, when Spider-Man 3 was first released, it was in the 90s too. But I think TDK will remain in the 80-90% range.

Spider-Man 3 Trailer.

That was a fun day. Almost as fun as that night where there was that countdown thing that no one knew what it was counting down...one of the best night on the Hype! for me.

EDIT: Despite my Join Date...I was around then. Just under a lame name. I was so young and naive...

June 2006 is when I joined this nerdfest.

and i don't remember why. but it obviously wasn't for the chicks.

First thing after my sleep on friday I'll be on here for sure. I'm seeing it tomorrow night!

i'm seeing it saturday night in imax and hopefully things will be decent sunday

Yeah, I think Batman has a pretty good chance at ruining Superman's return...as far a SHH! Members online that day, at least.
