The last record I recall was in June of 2006 when Superman Returns opened and the trailer for Spider-Man 3 was released.

and alot of people were busy for new years and the holidays.... it'd make complete sense for it to be delayed a few days and also gain steam as it hit the press more and more. this was only 3 days later.
