Movie facts you may not know.

- In the 1996 movie, Mission Impossible, Peter Graves was offered the role of Jim Phelps, the role he played on the TV show. When he heard that Phelps was going to the bad guy and eventually would die, he passed and the role went to Jon Voight. As a result of Phelps playing a bad guy in the movie, other cast members from the original TV show turned down a chance to reprise their roles.

Sean Connery was offered the role of Gandald in The Lord of the Rings and the Architect in Matrix reloaded, but refused because "He didn't understood the Plot".

He was offered profit sharing for LOTR, turned it down, and lost out on over $100 mil.

In superman 3 when Clark steps into the photobooth thing to change to Superman he steps out of the booth. but then looks back and grabs the 4 photos of him taking off his Clark outfit. he tears off the last pic of him as Superman and gives it to a little boy. the little boy was the one who played Clark as a toddler (the one who lifted up the truck off of Johnathan Kent).

I heard once that Mace Windu was originally supposed to be a character in the original Star Wars trilogy. Anyone know if this is true?

Sounds familiar, but I'm too lazy to google it or dig out my copy of "The Making Of Star Wars".

There was a character NAMED Mace Windu in one of the original drafts of the original Star Wars. That's pretty much where the similarities end.

Macemillian Winduarte...:o

*While Nicholson was always the studios first choice for the joker, other actors on the shortlist were Robin Williams, David Bowie & Steve Martin.

*While Tim Burton Wanted Michael Keaton for Batman the studio wanted either Pierce Brosnan or Alec Baldwin.

That would've owned.:csad:

This might be more well known (especially if you're a commentary fiend like I am):

In "Revenge of the Sith," Anakin races to visit Chancellor Palpatine in the Opera House where he's informed of General Grievous' location. Upon entering the Chancellor's private box, Anakin passes by a blue humanoid-alien holding a cane...the alien is played by George Lucas (the only time he ever had a cameo in a Star Wars film).

And the blue alien girl next to him is Lucas daughter.

And his son Jett played the jedi at the platform who was shot. Though everyone knows that.

REmember that scene in ye olde Transformers movie (the cartoon one) where Megatron raids the shuttle and slaughters all the autobots in a matter of seconds? Well it was originally much more violent...

Then, he transforms to Gun Mode, spins into STARSCREAM'S arms and

IRONHIDE AND RATCHET

Additionally, Ultra Magnus had a more gruesome death, but I think most people know about that one:

ULTRA MAGNUS

(SCREAMS IN HORROR)

ANGLE ON THE MATRIX

It tumbles from Ultra Magnus' hands to...

... Galvatron's hands!

about the whole will smith and neo thing...didnt he turn that role down for "wild wild west"?

Ridley Scott and Arnold Schwarzenegger nearly worked together twice. In 2000 for I Am Legend, which fell apart due to budget issues and in 2003 for Terminator 3 which Scott turned down in favor of Black Hawk Down.

According to IMDB (So it's possibly fake), Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odessey was originally going to be an anthology of short films titled "How the Universe Was Won", the scene where Dr. Floyd arrives on the moon and the team go out to see the Sentinel wouldve been the final short.

My God.

Scott directing a Terminator film?!

How come I never thought of this? This would of been legendary.

I still wish Verhoeven had made his "crusades" movie with Arnie. It would have been epic.

I'd like to see Ridley Scott's I an Legend. I loved Will Smith's one.

I read years ago that Tom Cruise was the #1 option for Edward Scissorhands. He yurned the role down because he didn't like the idea of having thick make-up and scars over his pretty face.
