Which movies can you think of where Machines run Amok and which do you think are worth watching? How many of the list below have you seen before and would watch again?

:trans:

I'm going to start the top of this list with the current stuff:

Transformers
I Robot
A.I.
Short Circuit
Electric Dreams
Blade Runner

Gotta stick with the classics

Maximum Overdrive

Batteries Not Included

Futureworld
Demon Seed
2001
Terminator Films
The Matrix Films
Alien

Slaps hand to head... I totally forgot to include:

War Games

And if you want to stretch the point.

Christine

If I had seen the trailer for Short Circuit, I don't know if I would have wanted to watch the movie. The trailer does not do it justice.

The Matrix
Animatrix
T2
Transformers the Movie
Artificial Intelligence

Those are my favorites.

Classics?
That would be Metropolis.
Really, nobody?

Robocop
Battlestar Galactica (Cylons)
Star Wars prequels ("roger roger")
Star Trek TNG (The Borg)
DOFP (Sentinels)
Casshern
Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow
9 (animated movie)
The World's End
Killdozer
Saturn 3

Death Machine (featured a early appearance of Rachel Weisz)
Deadly Friend (Samantha is technically more of a Cyborg)
Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey (evil robot doubles)
Screamers

There were machines in Star Wars that were going against their programming/design?

Well, the Battledroids were designed and programmed to be soldiers, but ended up being target practice, so technically that's correct.

I didn't see anything in the OP that specifically asked for machines going against their original programming; just "run amok." Lucas' battledroids definitely "ran amok."

Metropolis? That's where Superman lives, right? Who's the lady? Margot Kidder? I don't remember that part from the movie.

(Yes, I'm kidding)
