I decide to do this thread cause of the Transformers movie and the past and future live-action movies based on cartoon shows. which of the movies in following list you think was good and which was bad? If I missed any movies please feel free to add:
Æon Flux
Garfield
Dudley Do-Right
The Flintstones
George of the Jungle
Inspector Gadget
Josie and the Pussycats
Mr. Magoo
Popeye
Ri¢hie Ri¢h
Rocky and Bullwinkle
Scooby-Doo

lol which were good and which were bad? They were all horrible. As a general rule live-action adaptations of cartoon material works out terribly.

Well... the Flintstones wasn't ALL bad, I kinda liked it... but the rest of 'em were :down:

The Addams Family was a comic strip, then a TV show, then a movie, then a cartoon, so it doesn't really count.

Æon Flux - Horrible.
Garfield - Good first half, terrible last half. Bad decision to make only Garfield CGI.
Dudley Do-Right - God awful.
The Flintstones - Good. I really like this one.
George of the Jungle - I liked this one too.
Inspector Gadget - Not really all that great.
Josie and the Pussycats - I LOVE this one. It's underrated to the max. It's the TV show brought to live just in the modern world.
Mr. Magoo - Horrible. Not even Leslie Nielsen could save it.
Popeye - Hate it with a passion.
Ri¢hie Ri¢h - I use to like it as a kid, haven't watched it since.
Rocky and Bullwinkle - The worst one on this list.
Scooby-Doo - I enjoy this one, I really do.

The others i forgot was Casper and Masters of the Universe

Casper was a mildly enjoyable pre-teen movie... never seen Masters of the Universe

I really like Josie and the pussycats, i agreed with JUSTABILL

scooby doo was surprisngly ok for what it was.

all the others ill have to give a thumbs down though.

ill cry when the jetsons makes this transtion.
we all know its only a matter of time.

The best ones, in my opinion are:
Flinstones
Casper
George of the Jungle

I liked George of the Jungle. The rest of the ones I've seen were bad. On a side note, if they do make that Johnny Bravo movie, I'll definately see it.

Josie and the Pussycats
The Flintstones (far from great but I enjoy it...except for Rosie O'Donnell as Betty.)

Really? I thought Rosie was pretty funny :p... for once

The Flintstones was awesome. Goodman was born to play Fred Flintstone.

The Flintstones is a really great film. Too bad the sequel screwed up so bad.
Josie and the Pussycats may be stupid, but it's damn funny as well.
Casper has to be the best cartoon to film translation. The one with Bill Pullman and Christina(Sp?) Ricci, not the ones made after it.

What ever happened to the live action Jetson's film? I was really looking forward to it.

Does Batman: Mask of the Phantasm count? :woot:

Space Jam is the only one thats comes to mind other then what is present. I think a better thread would be what movies were based from comics.

Æon Flux: Sub-par.
Garfield: Kinda ok, but nothing I´d watch again.
Dudley Do-Right: Lame
The Flintstones: Didn´t like it
George of the Jungle: Liked it, very funny if your in the right frame of mind
Inspector Gadget: I laughed a bit but on the whole is sucked
Josie and the Pussycats: Haven´t seen it
Mr. Magoo: Rather lame but I laughed anyway
Popeye: Haven´t seen it
Ri¢hie Ri¢h: Haven´t seen it
Rocky and Bullwinkle: Boring
Scooby-Doo: Pretty good, I liked it.
He-man: It´s so lame that I like it

What about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ? Not sure if the cartoon was based off some comic or not. But I know the cartoon series came out before the 1st movie.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was a comic first then cartoon than movie but the movie was based on the cartoon than comic IMO. I knew I forgot something.

Most cartoons I listed had no comic or toy before the show, not sure about Mr. Magoo but I know Casper, Popeye and Ri¢hie Ri¢h were comics

Also (which I forgot to add in first post) which cartoons back then and now would like to see become a Live-action movie?

I'm still waiting for a movie based on "Gargoyles".:(

I actually liked The Flintstones, although I wasn't really sure why Rosie O'Donnell got to play Betty. Scooby-Doo was alright, Josie and The Pussycats was pretty good also, and I use to love the Popeye movie when I was little.

As far as Inspector Gadget goes, I thought the second one was better than the first being that it was more like the cartoon than the first was.

Rocky and Bullwinkle, while on the stupid side, did capture parts of the original humor. Flintstones was well done, as was George of the Jungle. The Jetsons should be out in 2008, according to sources. So far they only have Diane Lane rumored as Jane, which is pretty spot on.
