Movies based on cartoon shows

Josie and the Pussycats is a VERY guilty pleasure of mine.

Also (which I forgot to add in first post) which cartoons back then and now would like to see become a Live-action movie?

Johnny Quest

I possibly wanted to see FoxTrot movie...

The cast-

Roger Fox: Matt Dillon
Andy Fox: Mary Stuart Masterson
Peter Fox: Matthew Lewis
Paige Fox: Emily Osment
Jason Fox: An unknown

The Wacky Racers-only do it in a Death Race 2000 kinda way

Wow... that would surely make my head explode.

I loved Josie and the Pussycats, it was awesome and made me want like an Archie teen movie. It was awesome.

The rest I could do without, even the good old Flinstones.

And obviously, a Gargoyles movie, aside from being prohibitavely expensive to get all those suits and CGI going, would be absolutely awesome.

Dungeons & Dragons? That had more to do with the Board Game than the cartoon though.

Fat Albert was a decent movie for what it was.

From the list, I liked:

Dudley Do-Right
The Flintstones
George of the Jungle

Not superb, but they were a good watch...

I want a CGI Top Cat movie!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was a comic first then cartoon than movie but the movie was based on the cartoon than comic IMO. I knew I forgot something.

Most cartoons I listed had no comic or toy before the show, not sure about Mr. Magoo but I know Casper, Popeye and Ri¢hie Ri¢h were comics

mr magoo was a series of theatrical cartoon shorts first that were later aired on tv

Didn't see any of those on that list. :ashamed:

Top Cat - Rated PG for mild language, some crude humor and gambling

:o

The Flintstones, George of the Jungle, Inspector Gadget, Scooby Doo...I enjoyed those ones. Can't wait to see Alvin and the Chipmunks and Speed Racer next year.

Æon Flux - Never seen it, heard it was crap
Garfield - Never seen it, heard it was crap
Dudley Do-Right - Crap
The Flintstones - Actually pretty good
George of the Jungle - One of the only romantic comedies that I watch for my own enjoyment
Inspector Gadget - Awful. They effectively de-testicled Dr. Claw.
Josie and the Pussycats - Never seen it, heard it was good
Mr. Magoo - Leslie Nielson was born for the role. About as good as you could expect
Popeye - I love it
Ri¢hie Ri¢h - Never was into the show, but I saw the movie when I was a kid. It would probably seem really dumb if I went back and watched it though.
Rocky and Bullwinkle - Never seen it, heard it was crap
Scooby-Doo - Never seen it, heard it was okay

Don't forget:

Transformers - Awesomeness

G.I. Joe is on the way as well, and so far the casting of Ray Park as Snake Eyes has inspired me with much confidence, so hopefully it's good. I think they should also make movies out of MASK and Stunt Dawgs.

Rocky and Bullwinkle, while on the stupid side, did capture parts of the original humor. Flintstones was well done, as was George of the Jungle. The Jetsons should be out in 2008, according to sources. So far they only have Diane Lane rumored as Jane, which is pretty spot on.

You just reminded me that Phil Hartman would have been the perfect George Jetson. Too bad he is no longer with us. :csad:

I enjoyed Transformers and George of the Jungle

I am still waiting for The Jetsons in live action. Oh and Top Cat as CGI (with no live action) would friggin' rule!

In a weird way, I'd like to see a movie based on that saturday morning cartoon "CRO" about the Cro Magnon boy adopted by Neanderthals, living in a world with intellectually superior mammoths. It'd make for a good family film.

Also, I'm messing around with my pal and we had the best idea ever.

CAPTAIN PLANET: THE MOTION PICTURE!

With Al Gore as Captain Planet. Theme Song performed by Li'l Jon.

THIS SUMMER
5 TEENAGERS
AND A BLUE MAN WITH A GREEN MULLET AND RED SpEEDO SUIT
ARE GOING TO TAKE POLLUTION DOWN TO ZERO!

Nah, Captain Planet needs to be played by Patrick Swayze, with Whoopie Golberg as Gia. Then, they can have Arnold Schwarzenegger play Duke Nukem by taking the footage of him from Batman and Robin and changing the color pallet. That way, he can be in the movie without having to interfere with his governorship!

I'd love to get a Johnny Quest movie, myself. I loved that cartoon.

Johnny Quest would OWN... just without all that needless virtual computer stuff... though, I did like the girl addition to the cast from the recent series.

That makes me want to see more venture brothers. Like now. Bye.

Oh, and I'd slay someone for a Captain Planet movie. Make it so.

That would be perfect casting.

I'm talking about the original cartoon form 1965. That would give you a really cool movie. Oh, and we're spelling it wrong, its Jonny Quest, no "h".
