2011.

The Hobbit, Pirates 4, Harry Potter 7 Part 2 , Kung Fu Panda 2 and Spiderman 4 look too me too be movies you can trust will survive in 2011. These just seem most likely too win.
Green Lantern, Thor and TMNT movie seem like unknown that i see being move.

I think Captain America, Thor and Avengers should be released the same year in 2012 for that summer seems less conjested.

I don't see any place for Pirates 4 in summer or holiday months really. Everything is locked in i think. Except i highly dought Peter Jackson will release Tin Tin and The Hobbit a week apart. I'd say Tin Tin will move too March or April the next year.

I also have to say 2011 seems a bit too soon for Star Trek II. I mean, have they even started the screenplay?

The writers are trying to get a draft done by Christmas and also Tintin is coming out in 2011.

I just don't see PJ putting Tin Tin out against The Hobbit should they get Greenlit by September.

I do think we should not be skipping over an over looking 2010 for theres a good potential for great movies here yet

Green Hornet.

Alice In Wonderland.

Clash Of The Titans.

The Expendables.

Iron Man 2.

Robin Hood.

Prince Of Persia.

Shrek Goes Fourth.

The A -TEAM.

Toy Story 3.

Last Airbender.

Predators.

Jonah Hex.

The Sorcerers Apprentice.

Priest.

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 1.

The Chronicals Of Narnia The Dawn Trader.

Smurfs.

I have seen better years but could be alot of sleeper good films there.

When is the Trek sequel coming out? Any new developments or what? I am going to assume 2012 unless we hear something soon.

I am not sure but believe a script was already approved before Star Trek of this summer was released. Meaning they were confident enough too approve a Script for a S equel but one can hope it will go better together then Transformers 2.

The Hobbit is my most anticipated film coming in 2011. It's my most anticipated film coming in all of the next few years. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy are my favourite films, so I cannot wait for The Hobbit and its sequel in 2012.

Can't imagine it will live up to the originals... as good as Del Toro might be. As long as they are faithful and it has a decent score I am sure it will do fine. New cast may hurt a bit though.

Batman 3 will be out in 2012 :o

Dont forget the new live action ninja turtles moive is coming outin 2011. i'll probbly want see Pirates of Caribbean 4,. i didn't like the third one that much. i might read reviews if the preiview looked good. do you know when or if their making Jack sparrow moive?

lots of great movies in 2010. you forgot the nightmare on elm street remake.

2011 sounds like it will be great too. TMNT should be awesome. SP4..i HOPE it better than #3. i agree with most of you..batman 3 will be out in 2012

I think Captain America, Thor and Avengers should be released the same year in 2012 for that summer seems less conjested.

The only way I can see this work is if Cap and Thor get released in the spring/summer and Avengers gets released in the late fall. Because it'll be pretty weird if two movies with Cap and Thor as main characters are in theaters at the same time.

The month of May usually has four movies big movies, one each weekend. If TMNT is 2011 I could see it in May. That sandwich weekend between SM4 and Thor is still open. Usually the film in that slot underperforms though... ala Speed Racer or Angels and Demons, but expect a somewhat big film in that slot. Also July 1st is still open as well so a movie with big stars ala Depp/Smith, or perhaps a family movie like the aforementioned TMNT can slip in there. First week of August usually has a franchise film in there as well.

Every upcoming year looks that good.

Then after the fact, when 4/5ths of the movies turn out to be hideous bombs, the year just doesn't seem so special anymore.

Well Ian McKellan should return unless an unseen health problem happens.
The way this year is going frailty can be an issue but prey he lives past 2013.
I have faith in Peter Jacksons casting ability for he casted the LOTR.

2011 is certainly one of the most packed years I've seen. Lots of bluckbusters.
