I also stopped after the second episode as this show did not move at that watch everything right now beat. But by stopping I went down the Google rabbit hole and it seems as if there was a early cancelled 1996 series starring Scott Bakula and Maria Bello before the Bragelina movie. And going by the synopsis of that series all the movie added was the killers and not just spies angle

Done with episode 5, and it feels a lot closer to 'Master of None' than the film, also Donald Glover's character comes off a bit creepy (imho)

I was thinking this as well, it makes sense to do it that way as I'm not sure Donald would want to be tied down to a series for 3,5 seasons (obviously depending on how successful it gets)
