Victor Shivel might be even sillier...
I’d be cool with his name being Victor Shivel
Freud (as in Sigmund) is pronounced froid, and froid in French (though pronounced differently) means cold. I wonder if that's how they got the idea lol instead of Dr. Froid (Freud), it's Dr. Fries (Freeze)
Mh... I get your idea but I'm French and personally I 've never heard "Freud" pronounce in the same way as "Froid"... Also the pun would have now been awful for us !![]()
Is it pronounced Shive-ull on the show or Shiv-ull? I don’t remember but I can check when I get homeToo close to shiver for my liking. I'd rather Reeves give these characters believable names, and have the nicknames be organic, similar to what Nolan did.

Art Shivel was the name on the show. I think it was pronounced Shive- ull. I know someone with the last name Fries (pronounced Freeze). It’s not ‘unrealistic’ or cringe, those are pretty normal last names. There are literally millions of different name out there, I'm sure Reeves won't have to resort to anything needlessly cringe lol
Hence me saying, " froid in French (though pronounced differently) means cold" lol C'EST FWWWAH

I hate it too. I’d rather they name him Victor (insert interesting but NORMAL last name). Just change it. Who cares about fans whining. It's only cringe to have a guy who's last name just happens to be a homonym for "freeze" be this guy known for actually working in cryogenics. I could see it maybe working if he had a different name, but was nicknamed "Mr. Freeze" due to his work in cryogenics.
Gotta have balance lol. I’m glad we’re back to that tbh. I’m tired of the cosmic.I love how superhero movies make billions of dollars now with cosmic villains and weird **** and people in this forum are still going "Mr. Freeze is not realistic enough for a Batman movie" like this is still 2005 or something.

If you're embarrassed by someone having the name Victor Fries, you don't deserve to be a Batman fan.
