when would be the best time to start reading her title?
i'm trying to track down issues #1-3, but i don't think i'll be able to get them, so should i just start with #4? is that in the middle of an arc? help please
thanks

it is kind of the middle of the arc but you didn't miss much and you can always get the tbp.

when does the tpb come out? and what issues will it have?
probably issues 1-6, but it won't be out for at least 4 months, and more likely 6 months.

I like the character, but the art is just cheesecake and I saw nothing special about the story

so i guess because like you said it's in the middle of an arc i'm just going to start picking it up at #6 the Civil War tie in, if i can't get hold of #1-3.
thanks for your help guys.

Is it really worth picking up?
I gave #1 a shot, thought it was typical and didn't bother with #2

lemme remember. She fights Stiltman, then she goes to see a public relations woman who was giving her advise on how to improve her image as a superheroine. Then she chased something streaking through the sky, and when it crashed, it had a bunch of Brood on it (The Brood being Marvels rip -off of the aliens from Alien, in case you're unfamiliar)

Stilt-Man is a stupid villain, always has been, always will be. And the cliffhanger has the Brood, who're quite possibly the least interesting villains in the MU to me.

Supposedly the ongoing plot of this series is going to be focusing on Carol trying to up her superhero profile, and frankly, that idea kind of bores me to death, at least as a Ms. Marvel plot. That kind of thing works for Booster Gold in 52, because Booster can be a materialistic ass quite often, so it makes sense for him to be concerned about his image and getting on magazine covers and wanting to make sure people know his name and all that. But that doesn't really work for Carol.

thanks for the rundown.
i'm really interested in this book. hopefully i can track down the back issues, and hopefully the story is great :)

I dropped it after #3.Nothing wrong with it at all, just a bit generic and nothing to hook me month in and out.

I think its a fun superhero book, slightly generic but no so much so like Johns Green Lantern, I expect it to pick up soon with Civil War and all that. And #4 would be a nice jumping on point.
