Anyone here play MTG: Magic the gathering?

I used to play a few years back and stopped for a while, however we bought ourselves(me and my brother) some more cards recently and got back into it, got some more on the way soon.

Anyone else here play?

Share deck idea's etc and suchlike?

idk, i could never get into trading card games, always thought they were kinda lame, but im sure this mtg of yours is alright.

Well it was like the original CCG, I never understand the collecting, but the actual gameplay is fun, not to mention high prize money competitions!

This one has a series of successful novels to kinda go with them in a way, and some amazing artists working on it too. Want some pictures of the art etc?

im a geek, and even mtg was a bit too geeky for me.

lol, it's a decent game that involves some stragtegy and thought, better than most computer games :)

games that involve thought are overrated

lol, I'd gladly play a card game based on tactics thought and strategy than play a video game, a lot more rewarding I find.

Some artwork from MTG, i told you it was pretty decent!

I've been playing since 1998, but I stopped collecting around the release of 6th Ed. I recently kinda got back into getting more cards. I'll have to post a deck or two sometime.

I played a bit in middle school and later in High school, but after high school I never touched it again except to sell my cards for a huge amount of $10. :D Heh, and I had thousands of them, a huge chunk of them from the early years...

You do know that a lot of the Alpha/Beta/Revised are selling for strong amounts, right? Last I heard, Mox [Emerald/Onyx/Ruby/Sapphire/Pearl] were running like $200, with the Black Lotus running at like $500.

You could have very well gave away your entire future for two movie rentals. :p

I used to play, when my brother was into it. I never liked it much but my brother and I never had much in common so I'd indulge him. He always let me have the black and green decks and I'd always beat him with them.:woot: That's all I remember.

An aside--

Aside from "Logan's Run", why does your screen name sound familiar? o_O

Well its not very creative, haha. Uncreative things always sound familiar. I don't think I got it from anywhere other than puns on old movies and bits of comic books. Maybe I heard it somewhere and it got stuck in my subconscious, dunno. :yay:

Ah, okay. I thought maybe you posted with me elsewhere or something. That happens a lot.

Oh, nope. I haven't used this sn on any other board/site/thing. I'll pretend I used to know you, though. :woot:

Back when pokemon was the craze in pop culture I dabbled in it. Had a decent red deck, too.

I use to play I think sometime around 8th Grade-Sorphmore Year of highschool... Then my friend and I stopped playing... I still have all my cards incase I ever run across anyone who wants to play MTG again...

there use to be a free program that you could play magic against people online...

"Too geeky" says folks who post on a superhero message board. :whatever:

Once someone made fun of me for playing magic...I summoned a liege of the pit to consume his immortal soul. :woot:

@Cyrusbales: Have you ever looked into the novels? If so, which author is your favorite? As far as decks go, I loved Sligh/RDW. Multicolor was never my forte.
