Basically it's an annual event where Democrats and Republicans get together for a charity game. And somone decided to **** it up.

The shooting was at a practice for tomorrow night's game.

Early reports say; maybe 5 people shot, shooter was a white middle aged male, security team for congressman took down the shooter.

Police briefing just said 5 wounded people removed from the scene...said they would not release names at this time.

Police spokesman said they would most likely have a press conference with more info in around an hour and a half.

Trump is speaking now about the shooting.....he says the shooter has died.

I've been watching the reporting on this while doing various things around the house, so I may have missed it, but from what I hear, various witnesses are saying the two congressional policeman (one a woman) had a 10 minute gun battle with the shooter. Did no other police arrive to help until it was over?

MSNBC reporting that he has been living in Alexandria (where the shooting took place) for 5 weeks.....that he spent a lot of time at the YMCA across the street where the shooting was (the news has shown the windows of the YMCA with multiple bullet holes from his shooting across the ball field at people).

He's white. Of course he isn't a terrorist. Then again he allegedly targeted Republicans so they might make an exception this time.

I do find it sad that this got extensive coverage on tv this morning, yet the one where the UPS guy actually shot and killed people wasn't even mentioned in the 30 minutes I was getting ready with the tv on.
