Multiple TV Universes: Good? Troubling?

I would pay crazy, crazy, crazy money for a Multiverse series/special/film/whatever.

I think the big elephant in the room is...we as fans dont really WANT multiple versions of these characters especially if a certain actor ia doing a great job in the role already. People love Amell as Arrow, they love Manu as Deathstroke, and so far Grant is proving to be a VERY likeable Barry Allen. I dont necessarily want to see these roles lessened by having 2 other actors playing the same role in a movie or other tv show.

Yeah having two actors/two versions of the same character for some reason is annoying, but we accept different versions of the same character through different media all the time.

Hmm... I watch all three, spread through a feature film franchise an two different TV networks, all during the same period more or less, yet this never occurred to me as perhaps the best example of why multiple versions is not a problem in the least. Kudos. I'm sticking this one in my back pocket. Thanks.

Personally, They'll get more viewing from me with a connected universe. All arguments aside, I just way prefer it that way. I don't think its confusing at all to anyone who isn't a registered voter, that is.t:

TNT, CBS and CW are all associated with Time Warner, it's possible that Titans, Supergirl, Flash and Arrow could be in the same universe, just on different channels. Personally, i'd love if those 4 were connected, but if Supergirl and Titans are both in self contained universes, i won't complain.

Who could Sherlock Holmes share a universe with exactly?

Yes audiences will accept different versions of the same character, but they would like to see characters they know interact.

Aliens v Predator if they had done it right, would have been class. But they turned it into crap.

Alan Quartermain, Harry Potter, Dr. Jekyll and Mr.Hyde, Mina Harker, Captain Nemo, Hawley Griffin, Voldemort, John Carter, James Bond, etc. But that's only if a good League of Extraordinary Gentlemen movie or tv series is made.

Read a really cool book a long time ago....Sherlock Holmes and Professor Challenger (Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's adventurer who discovered THE LOST WORLD) worked together to fight the Martians from Well's WAR OF THE WORLDS. Now that would make a damn cool movie.

All of whom show up in each of the versions with different personalities.

god i know. that's the perfect way to quell anyone's problems with all these different continuities. i say let the people ***** about it, no one will be *****ing when we get live action COIE. Greg Berlanti keeps hinting at COIE on The Flash series, but i highly doubt there version would incorporate all these different continuities.

I had a dream where they did a JL movie and the last part was a Crisis.

There is one scene where the skies turn red and it shows the sky turning red over several places. We see Adam West Bat and Robin on the Batmobile looking up, the Keaton looking out the window. Lynda Carter on the beach looking up, all the way down to Amnell's Arrow.

Then get back to Cavill and crew.

That's what I'm saying is part of the excitement of having a shared universe. The possibilities of crossovers. Sif or Fury appearing on AOS is a crossover. If you want to expand, that actions in one has effects on another (as happened in Cap 2) you can.

Because having a shared universe results in crap like Agents of Shield being on the air. It's a legitemately terrible show.

I don't understand the obsession with having the same actor play the same character every time. I like Hopkins in Silence of the Lambs/Red Dragon but I'm so glad they went with Mads Mikkelsen for NBC"s Hannibal. IMO, he's giving us a Hannibal that's a hell of a lot more interesting than anything we've seen in the films.
