My Name Is Bruce

Its out on DVD! I watched it last night! If you're a Bruce Campbell fan it is HILLARIOUS!

(While drinking liquor out of a dog bowl) "I'M NOT PATHETIC!"

i thought it was ok. Its no Bubba Ho-Tep. Bruce was great but not much else.

That's why it works though. Bruce is the main attraction. It is an hour and a half self parody and it is brilliant on that level.

I seen this a few months ago in theaters followed by a Q and A with Bruce. I enjoyed it. Like previously mentioned, it's no Bubba Ho-Tep but it's still funny.

Was alright was a movie for the fans which was nice

p.s the chick Bruce hangs out with.... Her boobs are amazing! :)

I rented it last night and watched it today.

I gave it a 5/10. If your a fan of Bruce and B movies, you should like it.

Y'know, instead of a sequel, Bruce should follow this up with an adaptation of his book Make Love the Bruce Campbell Way. That could be hillarious.

I'm picking this up in a few hours time. It was released over the weekend here.

"Did you get into the dog's bowl again?"

"No." *dog barks from behind Bruce*

that really would be awesome, but only if he got Richard Gere to sign on.

Yeah, they would definitely need Richard Gere and a slew of other celebrity cameoes. I doubt Bruce would have the pull or budget to make it happen :csad:

This film is hilarious! People whol love bruce cambell such as myself, will love this film!

I'm a huge supporter of the Campbell and I do agree with whoever said they need to adapt Make Love the Bruce Campbell Way, but this wasn't as Bruce Campbell-y as I thought it would be.

It doesn't suck entirely, but just about everything that isn't Bruce falls flat. Hard. The teenage die hard goth fan? Terrible. Mom? Big ole boobies, that's pretty much all you can say about her. There's several lame jokes, and I know they're trying to get the campy feel, but you can tell the difference between hilarious campy and downright suck. That said, my goodness was it awesome seeing Bruce Campbell fight the ancient protector of tofu. That monster thing was perfectly campy, just awesome.

I definitely recommend it, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't let down. Needs waay more Campbell goodness.

Bruce - "I'm not one of those shallow, sex machines like all those other Hollywood types."
Nurse Prostitute - "Hey mister, you still owe me 100 bucks! And we still have to have sex! "

"You know Jeff, I've gotten a lot of use out of chainsaws over the years. Killed a lot a zombies, saved a lot of lives, but at the end of the day when push comes to shove... they're just too damn heavy."

heh:up:

i just finished watching this and i have to say, bruce was brilliant in every scene... the rest was meh...

about 20 mins in i was thinking "my god...this must be the best movie ever made..." but by the end i was like "this needs more bruce..."

i think Bruce was trying too hard here. Bruce is naturally funny, which is unfortunate.

Best thing about the DVD was getting Bubba Ho-Tep for free and the comic book for My Name Is Bruce.

But he was being intentionally over the top. That was the point. That is like complaining that Will Ferrell isn't doing dead pan in Anchorman.
