I love this show too...but its getting old fast...did the last episode even concern something on his list? Ratings are starting to slip too I heard.

I think if they had made Jason a little more intelligent. Maybe on the level of Brodie, or Bankey then this show wouldn't have gotten old so fast. The show right now seems like a bunch of Hicks trying stumbling through life. Not funny.

I like the chick who plays Katalina & then Jamie Pressley as Joy. They are 2 great things going for this show right now. I recorded Smallville last thursday just so I could watch the 30 minutes of My Name Is Earl. I will probably wind up doing it each & every week until one or the other goes into reruns.

It's a nice feel good show. I don't think it's very funny though, The Office is a lot funnier. I'll watch it if nothing else is on, but I don't mind when I miss it.

The charm of it is that they are hicks. It gives it a different twist. Everyone has a stereotypical view of what you call hicks, and this kinda goes against it but in a realistic way (ie the episode where Earl helps out a gay guy was a pretty good example of how it adds a nice twist where earl, who was kinda a stereotype before karma kicked in, can overcome his predjudice in his desire to be a better person).

I haven't seen any episodes this season yet but overall I think this show and The Office are the two best comedies on TV right now.

Is there going to be a love triangle...between Randy Earl and Katalina. Earl is in love with her but he doesn't know it yet...Randy has always been gaga for her but she's oblivious...but she finally dropped hints in that last episode to Earl. Kind of surprised that they might take it in this direction...they should really focus on knocking out whats on his list...it'd be really cheap to turn this into a "friendship ends because of a girl" thing.

I want to see Earl knock some more stuff on his list before he goes out with Katalina. Which of course is just going to get Randy mad as hell.

Last Weeks My Name Is Earl eppy drew a 5.2 rating with a 8 share.
Last year (10/4/05), it drew a 8.5 rating with a 13 share.

The Office has also seen a drop in ratings, but not as big as My Name is Earl.

Maybe the decision to move the show to Thursday from Tuesday was a bad move?

well, they want ratings...and NBC thinks love stories in their comedy series are important to draw in larger audiences...on a side note...Katalina really isn't into Randy...and I think she'll make some more advances towards Earl...she admires how commited he is to the list, his brother, his ex...basically he's started to care for everyonelse around him in his life and doesn't even have time for himself...she's falling for him.
