ah man, that sucks. If I were you I'd discuss it with the director and ask if the date can be pushed back a day or week. It's not enough to say its because you really love spiderman and have been dieing to see this film. If you tell the director that possibly no one will want to see this show because its the opening day of spiderman 3, then i think the date will be changed.
by the way, what show are you doing? I'm just did Cinderella for the road show in my highschool. I was the king![]()
I'm in high school, and I'm in the school play which I really like. The play was set for April this year, and was like that for the last couple months. Today, without warning, the school didn't want it in April and just moved it to MAY 4TH (Spider-Man 3 release date).
You talk about crap. If my theater doesn't have a 10 PM showing I'm screwed. That's completley unfair and just my luck. I didn't even want to see it that late at night, I won't be focused during the play because I'll be excited for Spider-Man 3.
No, I'm not going to quit the play or anything so don't suggest that. I'm just shocked and very mad.
go to the midnight premeire, ask your brother to drive you. this is one of the reasons why I don't sign up for anything in school, first reason is I hate school. I have school on may 4th so I'm going to the midnight premiere.
Psh I cut Highschool for Spider-Man 1.
I have a story similar to that. My boss' family is a gospel music group, and in '02 it turns out they had a concert on..you got it; May 3rd! I thought I was screwed because I wouldn't be able to get the evening off. To make a long one short, I cashed in favors, did more favors with my co-workers..and managed to go to Spider-Man's opening show. You mean the first showing ever on May 4th? Yeah I'm actaully thinking of doing that. But it's pretty much up to my brother's friend for a ride at this point because he wants to see it too. But I don't know for exactly 100% sure he can do it yet. Hopefully he can. If he can, and I can go and watch it, yay. I'll see it after my play too.
But I just think it's weird, that out of ALL the days in April and May, it's May 4th. I bet it won't be packed at all that night. Everyone will be at Spider-Man 3.![]()

i know what you mean.i was waiting for x3 right after seeing x2 and i really wanted to g othe first day,but my dad said no and we went on the second but half way threw the film, there was a black out so we went the next day(all those days to watch one crappy movie)i myself want to see Spidey 3 on the first day,i told my dad that we have to go on the first day or else i'll be mad at him lol,but going to a later show doesnt always work out either.Sure it may be your best chance(and i say take it),but it might be crowded,i went t og osee 300 on the first day and i went to the 9 pm showing and after that showing was done, there was a massive line up for the later showing, but if worse comes to worse,go to the later showing. Its just funny how things turn up(the date moving from april to may,and out of all the days,it had to be the 4th)just hope everything works out manlol. That's funny.
I'm a big, big Spider-Man fan. I've been waiting since 2004. We got in this play, being told "April 21st" or something like that. The school has nothing going on any of those other days. They just hate me lol.
So I'd be...well I hate to admit it but I'd cry if I miss opening day.![]()
Big deal.
It's not like you will die after the play...see it on May 5th.
Psh I cut Highschool for Spider-Man 1.

If worse comes the worse, have someone call you out and miss a few periods of school to see SM3, then return when the movies over. Sounds crazy, but it is Spider-man and school only offers petty education.
I ditched my junior year when SM1 came out. But my teachers were so cool, they let me cut. Me and 2 other frineds were walking towards the parking lot at like 11 or so to catch an 11:15 showing, and as we were about to leave my film teacher stops us:
Teacher: Hey, where are you guys goin'?
(long pause)
us: We're going to witness the 2nd coming of christ. We're going to see Spider-man.
Teacher: At What time?
Us: 11:15
Teacher: Well, it's nearly 11 as it is. So, tell me how it was when you get back.
Us: Ok.
And we left.
