just a little fanboy daydreaming lead to this.
So the movie starts, and we get to see Zod's trial again, and it ends with the blaring voice of terrence stamp 'YOU WILL BOW DOWN BEFORE ME, BOTH YOU, AND THEN ONE DAY YOUR HEIRS!!!' with heirs echoing as it fades out, then suddenly Clark/Superman wakes up from the nightmare. He looks over his stuff, focussing on a pic of Lois and Jason (heirs, Kal'el's heir, get it)
Anyhow, I haven't really thought of a middle part yet. But, it would involve the escape of another kryptonian from the PZ, or it would involve the return of Ursa (let's keep Zod dead, Ursa has lots of cool possibilities, including sex, but in that evil supervillain kind of way). Any how, the story would end up being similar to superman II. Lex Luthor returns just at the right time to exact his revenge on Superman, by selling out superman's son and mother (lois and jason).
Ursa, or the new Kryptonian end up escaping battle with superman, and making off with Jason, who they take to Mt. Rushmore (which in this reality is a giant memorial to Zod). Needless to say, Jason is killed, on his knees, before the menacingly huge carving of zod (metaphor being the same as when Zod was sentenced to the phantom zone in the krytponian 'court'(you like that?))
on goes the story. But what will superman do? He has no working fortress of solitude with which he can magically make his enemy's powers dissappear. That means no super cool \S/ shaped saran wrap traps. There is one place where he can battle his foe on equal grounds, New Krypton. Just gotta figure out a way to keep them alive, in space, on NK.
***edit note*** maybe NK is drifting into the Sun. The closer Superman/kryptonians get to the sun, the more the effects of Kryptonite are off set by the increased insolation. Makes for a cool finale.
battle begins. As the melee progresses, Superman, and his foe come across the lost crystals. The climax of the battle ends with superman getting a hold of one of the crystals, which induces a flash back to his last moments with his parents. The flashback ends, bringing us back to the final blow of the battle taking place on New Krypton. Where Superman sacrifices his heritage willingingly to save Earth. He stabs Ursa/New Kryptonian with the Kryptonian control crystal, killing our enemy. But also shattering the crystal. ***At this point, NK has almost completely drifted into the sun, and Superman escapes in a nick of time, as NK explodes***
A little melodrama and the movie is done.
Now I know it's kind of a re-tread of Superman II, and that the use of a kryptonian villain is an unpopular idea. The kryptonian character could be the eradicator, or the TAS fusion of the eradicator and brainiac under a unified character. Both ways would work. I just think Ursa would be an cool villain to revisit. Unleash this woman, who's master (and probable lover) has been slayed by the son of their jailor, upon an unsuspecting earth. One could play up the 'last man, last woman alive' angle (as was used in TAS on one occasion). Just imagine, and evil, supersexy, backstabbing, onnatop, she***** vs. the boy scout in blue. It just works in my head.
Killing jason. I know it's kind of the hardcore fan's purpose in life to hate the fact that they gave him a kid. And this would be the perfect way for a fanboy like myself to request an assassination. But I love the idea, of the kneeling heir, being killed before the great head of Zod.
