My Veiled Chameleon 'Godzilla'.

A large aquarium would work.

Can't use a glass aquariums with most chameleons, they freak out when they see their reflection. Got to be a screened cage of some sort.

Ya but we were talking about bearded dragons, not chameleons, but thanks for the info anyway :)

I've never heard of that problem before, I did have one of those screened cages but just because it was cheaper.

Is your Chameleon slow or a little faster? Also, do they actually blend in almost perfectly to their background or just sort of?

The blending thing is a rumor/myth. They change colors but mostly just greens, yellows and dark browns..and it's more just to lets other chameleons know what kinda mood they're in.

And he can be pretty fricking fast when he wants to be. One day i accidently left the cage unlocked, went to feed him and he wasn't there! My wife freaked out because she hates reptiles. I looked for him everywhere, and eventually found him sitting by the window...taking in the sun. When he saw me coming towards him, he bolted to the carpret and sprinted across the floor like a track runner...it was funny as hell as i didn't know Chameleons could run that fast! LOL! But i guess they have to in order to avoid certain predators in the wild. Anyhow, he's escpaed from his enclosure several times since then..and he always goes to the same spot..the window.:yay:

lol, well at least you know where to look for him now

Yeah, exactly.

Here's a pic of him chilling in his enclosure.

Here's what happens when i keep sticking my camera phone in his face to take as pic. He puffs up to make himself 'look tough'. It's the equivalent of a guy walking toward someone with his chest out, and shoulders back- to look intimidating. It's a common Veiled Chameleon response. It's his way of saying "Don't **** with me"!

Bearded Dragons puff up like that, and hiss too.

Anyway, he is so friggin' awesome!!!

^Thanks.

He hisses and bobs his head at me too. He's bitten me a couple times, and actually drawn blood. His teeth are quite sharp.

Thanks everyone.

I'm thinking about pairing him with someone who has a female Veiled. He needs to get laid at least 'once in his life.

Poor fella.:csad:

Here, he's not to happy that i'm sticking my camera phone in his cage!

Sad day in my household. :csad:

My Cham of 3 years succumb to intestinal parasites, after numerous vet visits. He died today. Buried him in the back yard.

Godzilla should become a mod. teach him how to use the hype

Sorry to hear about your lizard, Golgo.

But Godzilla never stays dead for long - he always returns in some form....

Awww! I want a chameleon, but they're not really a 'hot' reptile right now, so there's not a lot of people breeding them. They're so cute <3
