** Kim Carnes made that song a hit in 1981
The three dots represent multiple words from the title.
2. Are the stars out tonight
I don't know if it's cloudy or bright
3. ... watched you bring my world to an end
This heart could not accept and pretend
The hurtin's on me, yeah
And I will never be free, no, no, no
You took the vow with me, yeah
An' you spoke it, an' you spoke it, babe
Now I'm just waking up too late. I can't win.
I don't know the other 2 and haven't cheated yet. I'm guessing the theme is "eyes."
2) I Only Have Eyes for You ..... by....ummmm... Bobby Darrin?
3) My Eyes Adored You ...?
by, Neil Sadaka?!?!?
Wake me up before you go go... *lol*
Yes the EYES have it and you have * for the theme.
* Yes, that's the right song title.
No, that's the wrong artist, or at least I couldn't find an album at the HMV site with him singing that song. I honestly don't know off hand what Bobby Darrin sings. He's not on the top of my lists of artists to listen to.
Sorry please try again.
Well, mine either... it was a shot in the dark really, he is an old singer from like the 50s... Did Nat King Cole sing it?
I Only Have Eyes for You was sung by a number of different singers. The version I actually own appears on the soundtrack from the movie American Graffiti.
3.) Michael Bolton's These Eyes. Tough nobody tell anyone I know that, 'kay?
Okay, my turn!
I may run and hide
When you're screamin' my name, alright
But let me tell you now
There are prices to pay, alright
All of our time spent in flashes of light
Looking at the crowd
And I see your body sway, c'mon
Wishin' I could thank you in a different way, c'mon
'Cause all of your time spent keeps us alive
Now that's scary!!! I was expecting The Guess Who. Ye gods he actually did sing it.
"Ye gods?" Is that Canadian for "egads?"
*lol* I think I picked it up from Thor comics. Or maybe some SF&F book I read along the way. "Regular" Canadians would probably insert a 4 letter swear word beginning with F in it's place. Since I'm not fond of swearing and save it for when I really, truly am brought to the absolute limit of my endurance I seek out other interesting terms to replace the inappropriate verbiage.
Bloody! Oh my stars and garters (this can be attributed to the Beast when he was a Defender). etc.
So it's true! The one and only Thor reader is from .. .. Canada!
This term doesn't even make any sense.
Not my favourite Marvel comic book, but yes I have 65 Thor comics and 3 of the Annuals.
Guess we're not eating enough fruit and fiber to be "regular"
and folks we still need the artist from the song "I Only Have Eyes for You"
Wow. That's more than I ever wanted to know about Canadian bowels.
the song is Larger Than Life by Backstreet Boys. I'm not good at these things.
Yeah, someone know the last song redmarvel has?
* finally closed up that set
1. My friends wonder why I call you all of the time
What can I say
I don't feel the need to give such secrets away
You think maybe I need help, no I know I'm right all right
I'm just better off not listening to friends' advice
When they insist on blowing my bliss
I tell them this
When they want to know what the reason is
I only smile when alive, and I tell them why
2. Well, he walked up to me and he asked me if I wanted to dance.
He looked kinda nice and so I said I might take a chance.
When he danced he held me tight
And when he walked me home that night
All the stars were shining bright
3. There used to be a greying tower alone on the sea
You, became the light on the dark side of me
Love remains, a drug that's the high and not the pill
But did you know that when it snows
My eyes become large
And the light that you shine can't be seen?
3) Kiss from a Rose by Seal
