Name That Song!

1. My friends wonder why I call you all of the time
What can I say
I don't feel the need to give such secrets away
You think maybe I need help, no I know I'm right all right
I'm just better off not listening to friends' advice
When they insist on blowing my bliss
I tell them this
When they want to know what the reason is
I only smile when alive, and I tell them why

2. Well, he walked up to me and he asked me if I wanted to dance.
He looked kinda nice and so I said I might take a chance.
When he danced he held me tight
And when he walked me home that night
All the stars were shining bright

3. There used to be a greying tower alone on the sea
You, became the light on the dark side of me
Love remains, a drug that's the high and not the pill
But did you know that when it snows
My eyes become large
And the light that you shine can't be seen?

* Yes. It was "And Then He Kissed Me", now you just have to earn the other star by remembering the artist. Hint: The movie it was used in had a character that looked like Thor.

I'm more into adventure/comedy movies myself. This is actually the only movie I own on both VHS and DVD. It has a great soundtrack but they never did make a CD of the soundtrack (at least not one I've been able to find).

The whole audience was expected to realize that this guy looked like Thor. He was just a mechanic in a garage, but he had the hammer.

1. I told you about strawberry fields
you know the place where nothing is real
well here's another place you can go
where everything flows.

2. In between what I find is pleasing
And I’m feeling fine, love is so confusing
There’s no peace of mind if I fear I’m losin’ you
It’s just no good, you teasin’ like you do

3. You were the sweetest thing that I ever knew
But I don't care for sugar honey if I can't have you
Since you've abandoned me
My whole life has crashed
Won't you pick the pieces up

* You got the group right, but that's not the song. So keep trying to earn the other point. It's a truly uncommon one so you'll have to really know your Beatles tunes to figure it out. Neither Strawberry nor Fields appears in the title of the song.

1. Glass Onion by the Beatles

2. Heart of Glass by Blondie

3. Walking on Broken Glass? It's really just a guess based on the lyrics and the theme. I can't remember who did it, but I think I may have owned an album with that song on it (if that is even the song). Something makes me want to say Laura Branigan, but that sounds all wrong. Given time, I think I can remember the right band.

****** Soooo close to a clean sweep. But Laura Branigan did NOT do that song. Though it is sung by a female.
