I also thought the way Spidey either broke or really hurt his hand was very cool. The Lizard wacking his hand truly showed how strong the Lizard was.

Yeah but it happened when he touched the third rail. Which is funny cuz he was fine after fighting Electro.

3) Only to Brock, though, who is like a brother to him.

Oh wait, I just realized - Brock. OK, never mind about that complaint.

I wouldn't have liked the ending as much if Billy somehow go through to Lizard and Curt be turned back to normal. Would've been INCREDIBLY cliche.

True, but he should have at least hesitated before trying to bite the kid's head off. Normally Martha and Billy are the only humans who can distract Lizzy from his rampages.

One of the things I'm loving about this show is the continuity, like how they've been hinting at the lizard since the first episode and how they briefly mentioned Electro in today's episode. Even though each episode is a stand alone story, it feels like one giant story arch.

Good episode.

I thought it struck the right balance of action, humor, emotion and horror. I really liked how after Curt injected himself the pupil of his eye briefly snapped into a lizard slit, and when the lady on the subway whacked the Lizard with her purse - it's those little things that stand out to me.

The part with Billy looking at the lizard book was a nice scene too - it could have been corny but it wasn't.

Peter was an idiot for selling those pics to the DB. Jeez, at least have them keep your name anonymous if you need the cash.

I agree. The continuity has been v. well done. Same with the use of the supporting cast.

I just saw the episode.
it's pure greatness. the people involved in this show are genius.
10/10.
Lizard's transformation was pretty scary, and so was he. strong, ferocious and scary. it's good to see that this show has a mature tone to it, and it's not a childish thing.
just perfect.

Yea I was wondering why he didn't do that either. But I actually thought He was going to lose the contest because in the last episode and this one, there was some random person that easily managed to get shots of Electro, Spidey and the Lizard.

Actually, there is 23 episodes, but they are split into 2 seasons. So the first season is 13 and the second season is 13.

hehe just a correction

13+13 does not equal 26

just pointing out a mistake

unless you meant 23 episodes left since 3 have already aired which brings the season to 26 episodes.

Anyways the matter was resolved so just adding my two cents

13 + 13 doesn't equal 26??
Someone needs to watch less cartoons and hit the books more often. :oldrazz::cwink:

where's dreads review? tut tut dread you're getting slow in your old age :o

I give an 8 of 10.

Another good episode. Pretty decent Lizard story and nice fight. However, the
fights take place in very dark places and I can't see the actions clearly, that's why I deduct 2 points....

I really like how Peter is misunderstood when he goes to save Connors. Poor guy. The last scene of him deciding not to use the serum and watching over the city is my favorite scene of this episode!

 Loved the episode, had great action! This show gets better and better. Also loved the cell phone interruption when he was trying to sneak up on ol Lizard.:woot: I actually lol'ed.

It was awsome.
The best episode so far.
Now that he got fired at curt's conners lab.
I wonder if he is going to spend more time at the daily bugle.

10/10 although I was disappointed pete would sell out like that for a pay check, yeah pete your aunt needs money but you don't sell out your friends.

It's either friends or Aunt May, I'd go with the one who fed and clothed me, and rubbed my rump when it was feeling pimply.

Great ep, still no light of the lizard though, nothing beats two men wrestling over a neogenic recombinator!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That ep was a complete spiderman package especially with him giving the money to aunt may. It had jonah's detest for spidey, aunt may worrying about bills, spidey being humbled and emotionally involved and a lack of one-liners based on the seriousness of it all.

Not sure spidey should be making one liners when its conner's life at stake.

best of the bunch but still no night of the lizard.

also don't like the fact a cure for spidey is so readily available. It ultimately means he could cure scorpion, lizard and any other person with inpure dna in them. It should have been specifically lizard dna with spidey taking some to reverse engineer.

ps, i'm loving eddie at the mo, gonna find his transition into a bad guy really hard. I reckon he starts dating gwen and then she tells him she has feelings for parker. along with other things.

What a fantatstic episode....im practically speechless. :wow:

Love how it starts off with the "Parker Luck" in full effect (the botched photos)...

Peter showing Flash up in the school courtyard, then realizing he has to protect his secret identity. Love how Gwen got involved then the other football player standing up for them. (What's that character's name, anyway? Is that Tiny from Untold Tales?)...

Did you guys note the rivalry between Peter and Brock already starting to build in regards to scientific know-how? Nice touch!

The scenes with Conner transforming were top-notch! Loved when the Lizard leaped out of the sky-light. The fight scenes were great!

Hey Visionary; did you see Spidey PUNCH the Lizard when they were fighting under the subway train? Then again at the zoo? :word: Lizard also punched the crocodile when it attacked him...

Peter's indecision to remain Spidey at the end was classic.

Three episodes in, and yet another 10/10...

Agreed. Top-notch story-telling all around. This show really does a good job at (to use a cliche) "keeping things fresh" while really maintaining not only the essence of who Peter is, but the supporting cast as well.
Oh, and this is EXACTLY how I want a movie Lizard to act. And Look. And sound.
They got it all right!!

I'll point out, punching a crocodile or a mutant monster doesn't really cut it. It's hardly on the same league as this

hero's thrashing other heroes. Not only heroes but the definitive superhero supes as well going all out on another superhero without being mind warped or anything.

Yes, I have, I mentioned it, it was great to see indeed. ;)

Well, Spidey uses punching when he's really gettingthe piss beat out of him. Otherwise he would just try to use other resources around him as Vic Cook said in an interview "He would rather web a refrigerator and throw it at you then run up to you and punch you" or something like that. It's more entertaining too IMO. Spidey's more agile and interesting to watch when jumping and webbing things all over the place then to beat the crap out of an opponent. I love the JLU fights but leave Spidey the way he is whether his punches are as brutal as theirs or not.

Yeah, but it's better than not punching at all...90s series.
