"Natural Selection" was really nice episode and Lizard was.... hmmmm how can I say, like Lizard.

The Lizard has doomed Spectacular Spider-Man. No episode will top "Natural Selection".

I think that is the problem with studios today. They're too busy trying to "top" what they did best last. It shouldn't be about that, it should focus on, maintenance. Maintaining a high standard with a delivery that varies. That is the formula that should be done and that is the formula that SSM seems to be doing. So, I'm pretty happy with the results. I just dont want the producers trying to figure out how to make each episode better than the last because it'll end badly.

I agree, keeping the show entertainment value interesting and the quality no matter what villain is present is key. I hope I don't see the quality in animation and story start to dwindle like the 90s series, just because they established high ratings.

will in the first episode of the series u can clearely hear J.J mention the Big Man's true identity.

I know he punches and I liked the fact that he did, but what the other guys are saying is that he doesn't punch enough or hard enough.

speaking of punches and death refrences in Spidey toons. ppl don't give Spider-Man Unlimited the credit it desereves. Last night i watched a little bit of the episode "One Is The Loneliest Number" and i got to say, i was surprised at the fact that spidey gave a few hard punches in that episode and they actually said die and dying about 5 times in just that one episode.

That's Unlimited. Where the violence problem revolves around is the 90's show.

yea venom and carnage looked horrible and the whole animal planet was way to strange for spidey for me. I did watch it but it wasnt my fav spidey show same with mtv watched it but didnt overall like it at all. As for this show it is shaping up nicely and i like it. As i asked a few times before does any one have a cap of the bugle from the end of the episode people where mentioning names of upcoming villains appeared in the paper and i just dont remember seeing that when the episode aired.

lol, i thought the intro theme music was good, and over all i thought the series was good, i was ok with Venom and carnage's new looks. and the Counter- earth thing was kinda cool but the beastiles were sort of stupid.

lol i like that episode too but it's like that's the only one i remember well. the other episodes i hardly remember, and all though it wasn't the greatest spidey toon it was pretty good and i wished it would have finished and would have been released on the market.
i also love the animation of that show.

Ok guys i am still looking for a screen cap of the bugle paper at the end of the episode. As i mentioned people said names of upcoming episode villains were on there as a easter egg for spidey fans i just dont remember seeing it when i watched the episode and that scene so please if any one has some screen caps from that part of the episode that would be great.

Yeah, and the guy who voiced him in the show also voiced him in the awesome Spider-Man game for Playstation.

Boy am I surprised. I thought this series was going to suck, but then the first episode was pretty good, the 2nd was awesome (I REALLY like this version of Electro), but this episode was just BRILLIANT. I mean I've seriously come to like Lizard a whole lot more now.

Instead of doing the generic old story, we get this fantastic fight, and they actually found a new way of making Pete unpopular in his gang (the photo thing).

My only iffy thing right now is Eddie. Sure he's meant to be like the Ultimate version, but right now he's just too much of a nice guy for me to believe that he could turn into Venom. But I'm sure that aspect'll pick up.
