NBC... no thanks, WE DON'T WANT WONDERWOMAN

That really sucks.I was looking forward to watching the show in the fall.

Hmm... so they wasted all that time, money, and effort filming the pilot?

i suppose another channel can pick it up, right? though, i hope they dont, it sounds like an awful show. i hope the pilot gets leaked somewhere though. i'd like to see it, i just dont want it exposed to the masses tarnishing wonder woman to the general audience.

The same thing happened with the unaired Smallville spin-off teen Aquaman pilot. I'm actually relieved that NBC didn't green light David E. Kelley's bastardization of Wonder Woman. Do the character faithfully to William Moulton Marston's creation or don't do it at all.

I'm actually glad this happened. I don't want to sound like a jerk, but in my opinion this show was bound to fail. The premise just seemed a little out of touch with what made the character appeal to people in the first place. I'm not a Wonder Woman expert by any means, I just have general knowledge and appreciation for the property. I know enough though that I didn't think this show had a chance. Also personally the main actress just didn't seem to "look" like Wonder Woman to me. I remember her on Friday Night Lights and she was good in that role, but Wonder Woman I thought was a little out of her element. Hopefully we get a movie soon with a creative team that really knows how to bring this character to life.

This was my reaction to the news:

I at least wanted them to try.

Thank Hera! :woot:

I'm sorry... but this sounded awful and Adrianne did no look like Wonder Woman at all to me.

Sorry David... but game over!

This is great news. Wonder Woman needs a proper film debut before she gets trivialised by a TV series featuring Liz Hurley as a villain. I wish DC would start structuring a film universe like Marvel is doing. They have the advantage of being in control of all their main properties.

Ding dong the witch is dead!!!:woot:

WW's armageddon has been averted, once again. Now, finally, we can go back to focusing on how this character should be adapted.

Like I said in the other WW thread, let them do a youtube series ala Mortal Kombat Legacy.

Why did you have to use caps? It made me not want to read this thread.

They are already talking about shopping this turd around.

my bet:

It will fit right in with their “stellar” line up of Shedding for the Wedding, Hellcats, 90210, America's Top Model, and re-runs of Smallville.

Did they!? Wow it has to be real bad then.

I'm pretty sure CW is gonna be busy with the Raven series.

Not really surprised, how far can you make the show any good before it turns into an Alley McBeal clone, too bad too the chick was kinda hot.
