NBC orders Young Rock

Probably won't be watching this, but it's good to see opportunities being created for mixed-race actors and diverse types of Asians.

Just found out that the guy playing The Rock at age 20 is actually 37! :wow:

Then again, looked older than he actually was during his teenage years and early 20’s.

I had no idea that this was even a thing. I'll give it a watch.

The casting is on point looks wise.

Hmmmm.....knowing young Rock's story it seems a bit wasted on a comedy, but I get it's his right to portray his family as he sees fit. I'll give it a chance anyway.

Interesting, I didn't know that the wrestlers who were contemporaries with Rocky Sr. would be in this show as characters. I might tune in just for that. Although we all know Sheik in real life could never go 5 seconds without swearing.

I enjoyed the pilot and will keep tuning in.
