Several years ago as a teenager I watched a few episodes of this cartoon that I THINK was on the old WB! network channel. The main character was a robot/cyborg with little or no emotions, and his sidekick was a young, ethnic (possibly black) woman "with attitude" and an hourglass body. I don't remember the bad guys, except that they had laser guns, and I don't remember any of the names. Unfortunately this has been on my mind recently and it's going to drive me CRAZY if I don't rediscover this and watch an episode or two.

What I do remember is that it had a few themes a lot like those around Data from STNG. How he just as valuable of a life form as humans, his lack of human emotions, the value of human rights, and some other more philosophical topics than I was used to seeing in after school cartoons. I also remember a scene where he could copy anyone's voice, just like in Terminator 2 (and also Data from Star Trek :p).

His enemy might have been the company that created him but I'm really not sure. Any tips you can help me with would be awesome!

From what you described, it sounds a bit like this show

Funny thing is, I don't remember watching that show in any capacity, I just remember always watching the opening then changing the channel lol

Wow, The Zeta Project. I remember watching a few episodes of that show, good stuff indeed.

There was even a robot on Batman Beyond that could do the same thing.

the Zeta Project was a spin off of Batman Beyond Ultra Lantern ;).

It is a spinoff series based on the character Zeta from the Batman Beyond episode of the same name.

Does anyone remember M.A.N.T.I.S. the tv series? I was going to ask about it but then it popped in my head

Thank you for refreshing my memory.

fun fact the actor who played the voice of Zeta also played Batman in Batman: The Brave And The Bold ;).

As a kid, I always thought Zeta was played by Brendan Fraser. I don't know why.

Diedrich Bader? Wasn't he also on "The Drew Carey Show"?
