Has there ever been a song or track that you listened to that you immediately thought, "This would make a killer needle drop in a movie?"

Well, drop em all here!

As soon as I heard Captain Marvel was set in the 90's (with Carol's backstory in the '80's), I SO DESPERATELY wanted them to use NIN's "Head Like a Hole." Them giving her that NIN t-shirt and no NIN songs in the movie was their way of mocking me, personally. I know it.

Yeah, I wanted a NIN song too but I also wanted this as well just because it's so on point with the lyrics.

Oh, I love Jóhann Jóhannsson's Mandy score to death but I wish there was a homage to this track somewhere in the movie because that video is basically what that movie is.

Mine actually came true in Knives Out. I've always felt that "Sweet Virginia" is one of the most underrated Rolling Stones songs and hearing it at the end was just *chef's kiss*.

And yes, I know Scorsese used it in Casino but it wasn't front and center like in Knives Out.

I laughed my ass off when I heard NSYNC’s Bye Bye Bye in Red Rocket. It was something I didn’t know I wanted.

When they used it in the opening was great but that Suzanna Son cover was so incredible and unexpected.

I would take out all the music from Top Gun Maverick and use these instead since they couldn't get Kenny Loggins back:

Funny you should post that gif, because my thought (for several years now) has been that this would’ve been a FAR better (and, artist-wise, significantly less icky) song to use…

The dystopian sci-fi vibes are off the charts.

If someone could make a new Saturday Night Fever type film for Gen Z, I would get Roosevelt to do all the songs.

Oh and whatever Panos Cosmatos is gonna do next, he's gotta get Carpenter Brut and Starcadian on his soundtrack.

I know they're remaking The Lost Boys so I would love it if all the music came from Confrontational.

I need something this audacious…

SNL can mock, but it was iconic.

Goodbye by Apparat needs to be in more things.

Re: The show Beef on netflix

It was needle drop heaven.

For the new Mad Max movie:

I know eventually someone is gonna use this as a needle drop.

I know they put this during the trailer for 9 but if someone could play the last two minutes of Welcome Home by Coheed and Cambria in an epic Mad Max level movie, it would be so awesome.

If this was 15 years ago and we still had non-MCU superhero movies or Transformers movies still making soundtrack albums... Sleep Theory would totally be a needle drop.

@Shinobi Shaw @Drizzle @Sawyer

I remember jamming out to this in Rock Band. And speaking of, over on its spiritual predecessor Guitar Hero was this little song that would also feel right at home in a Mad Max type of movie or at least the opening riff:

Ah Corey Taylor before he became Doug Walker's fall guy for that stupid The Wall "review". I miss that.

Anyway, my pick would be Scared Worlds by Blind Guardian for the inevitable Avengers Secret Wars trailer. It'd would be perfect!
