Fantasy Netflix's The Witcher - General Discussion Thread

Not bothered by Nilf armor. Yes, it's not regular Medieval armor we're used to in the games (and there's plenty of that in the show still), but I dig the scorched aesthetic.

I'm also loving the costume work:

All those variations of eastern European or mid Eastern caftans, sheepskin coats.

Or something resembling sarafan (or general eastern, north Europe female dressing):

She is damn pretty. She doesn't really look like Yen, and I am having a hard time imaging her as Yen, but then again so far we have only seen her as young Yen, who is a different beast from the woman we know.

I wasn't sold on Anya Chalotra either, but I was encouraged by the footage I saw of her at Comic-Con. I'm willing to give her a chance.

It's Yen. She needs to come off fierce, strong, protective, and aggressive. If she can do that, we are good.

Gonna watch the show but as of right now she doesn't look like Yen at all and if her performance doesn't sell it I'll be disappointed. I already have Triss not looking like she is supposed to so this is an annoyance.
