Amazing photos! Thanks for sharing.

Three weeks is a long time, could have cancelled the trailer and whole show in that time.

Smart. It would have melted in transport.Of course they didn't bring that Nilfgaardian armor to the convention![]()

That feels like a pretty big "if" to me at this juncture, but I'd be happy to be wrong. Netflix doesn't take the time and care with their new shows that HBO does, who spend years developing, and re-developing, until it's the most refined version of that thing they could muster. They spent nearly 5 years developing GoT before we ever saw a frame. Spent 4 years developing Watchmen. 4 years on Sharp Objects. The shortest amount of time they spend developing these shows is usually around 3 years (Westworld, Big Little Lies). The MOST Netflix ever seems to spend developing a show is 2 years. It shows in the end results, imo. Most Netflix shows to me are missing that special x-factor that differentiates a good show from a great show. The only truly great show I've seen from them is Mindhunter, which had already spent a couple years of development at HBO before switching to Netflix. Netflix has the HBO budgets, but they don't have HBO's knack/patience to cultivate the best quality from the the talent those budgets can afford, imo.
Netflix's Stranger Things and The Crown are as good if not better than a lot o HBO's shows, certainly better than the absolute mess thhat is Westworld
This will be a mess, though. Cavill cannot lead, he is not talented or charismatic. And that first teaser was awful. Maybe today's trailer is AMAZING but I doubt it
It’s fine, not great, imo. It’s popcorn to me. Like most Marvel movies, it’s mostly left my brain within a few days of watching it. Nothing really sticks with me except “aw, those kids are cute. Big monster fight was cool.” Netflix has plenty of good shows (like The Crown, and Daredevil being my favorite superhero show to date...though Watchmen might be about to dethrone it), and they’ve certainly got good-looking, expensive shows, but they’ve never even touched the best of HBO except with Mindhunter, imo. That’s the only one they’ve done where I’d put it on a list of all-time great shows. HBO’s got several guaranteed slots on that hypothetical list. What about Stranger Things?

I think this could surpass Game of Thrones if they do it right.
