Fantasy Netflix's The Witcher - General Discussion Thread

Thanks. I have played Witcher 2 and 3 on Xbox but not finished as got stuck somewhere. I would like to have them on pc too so thanks for the heads up. I also own all the audiobooks but haven’t made a proper start.
Make sure you play the Heart of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions. They add about 80 hours of content and are really great.

FYI, I routinely pop in Witcher 3 and I'm still finding new stuff. Like I returned to Skellige and there was an unmarked quest in hidden ruins with magical barriers and dialogue options.

I was debating getting W3 on PC so I can play it at its full glory.

Steam sales are due to start tomorrow I believe (22nd December) & run until the 5th of January. If you want it, you're best getting it then, I picked up a GOTY copy of W3 with all the trimmings in a Steam sale a few years ago for I believe £10, which is about $15.

Getting the Witcher gear were some of my favorite parts. There's fun mythology behind tracking the other Witcher gear diagrams. Plus upgrading all the Witcher gear really opened the game up for me IMO.

Never bothered too much with them, i think the Ursine armor is the only one i like.
I like Geralts standard Armor the most visual, so i played mostly with that one.
Most Armors you find in the game look so damn ugly and since i play on Normal, i dont really need to be too careful...so its fine walking around with the starting armor.

But outside of that, i love how much sidequests etc tell a story or do some world building.
Even the smallest treasure can have a really cool story behind it.

Yeah and I put this together in my 3rd playthrough I would just find better individual gear in chest all across the game especially in skellige underwater but once I finally played the DLCs is when I needed the extra benefits of witcher gear

Its why i wait for the PS5 upgrade next year, then this beast will be tackled again...maybe really on Death March.

Speaking of Witcher 3, anyone else catch Alastair Parker (the voice of Cleaver, plus several other minor NPCs) voicing the Dock Worker Jaskier tries to dupe in Ep 4? :D

I didn't know that actor had worked on the games. Glad they gave him a speaking role in the series.

The gear is great! If you meet the Cat School witcher Gaetan while wearing Cat School gear, he will comment on it.

I even have the Statue of Geralt in the armor, its super cool.
I didnt knew that, this game is so full of details.

I came across a video where someone tried to find every possible choice outcome etc.
Where he killed this or that character early, did this or that sooner than expected, to see if that changes stuff.
Its crazy how much detail they put in this game.

Yeah it's crazy how even if you go against the preset path the game will acknowledge it accordingly.

I'd like to see a video which shows every possible scene, if that was possible. Always wanted that on Mass Effect too.

Check out xLetalis on YouTube. I'm not sure how much he has covered but he has rare dialogue videos, videos on quest completion order, details you missed videos and a bunch more.

And Witcher George has done a complete play through of the game and both DLCs for those that may have interest in The Witcher 3 story but don't have interest in playing the game.

Thanks for the tips.

I own all the books/games and ****ing hate this series so take that as you will.
I'm enjoying it as a non book or game reader but would be interested to hear some bullet points as to why fans aren't enjoying it.

Once u get the ekhidna decoction performing actions that consumes stamina will regenerate vitality stack it with Enhanced Tawny Owl (accelerates stamina regeneration ) and you shouldn't lose much life fighting since dodging uses stamina death ma5ch is a breeze just don't let your self get cornered

I haven't watched this yet but it was made buy the guy I mentioned xLetalis. I lol when I saw this video was posted at the same time as my post mentioning the creator.
Ha, the exact same minute. Looks like we have 2 super-brains in the thread. :cwink:
