Never Back Down

The first rule of Extreme Fight Club....you do not make a movie about Extreme Fight Club. :cmad:

Let's be honest here, they're trying to sell the MMA concept to the dumb OC crowd.
How is that different from any other movie they make for the dumb OC crowd?
Super pass :down

I'll just wait Flash Point instead, which has the following advantages:

a) It has real martial artists (including Donnie Yen and Collin Chou).
b) It doesn't have ******ed teeny boppers.
c) You won't feel embarrassed when you watch it (something you should do if you want this "Never back down" nonsense).

Nice shameless plug for a movie that's nothing like Never Back Down.

It's trying to include MMA? :o
Seriously guy, it's the OC Karate Kid, like some people have mentioned already.

Exactly, it's nothing like NBD...Flash Point is a great movie with a good story, and MMA and kickboxing scenes 1,000 times better than anything you'll find in this turd of a movie.

Yeah, me being one of them.

Ok...your point? If you have one that is.

And this is a thread about Never Back Down, not Flash Point, so of course we're gonna talk about it.

My point was expressed in the first post I made

I know it's a thread about NBD, that's why I said "This looks terrible"

EDIT: Never mind. Got confused between this & 'Fighting'.

The director Jeff Wadlow was awesome to work with. He was very hands on with his actors and extras, which isn't a typical thing to do.

How did we ever go from this:

to this:

?

We need a new batch of action/martial arts stars. These little girls we have running around today just aren't cutting it.

You know what this reminds me of?

te hee hahahahaha. This is NO martial arts. This is a disgrace to the martial arts world.

No.:csad:

Though throughout filming, when the director needed random high schoolers to spout a line or something, he randomly picked who he thought looked right for it.

You're really in the movie?

You know. There have been several instances in my life where God, to me, has been proven not to exist. The fact that this movie has been made is one of those instances.

i think if this movie were made in the 80's, with the same concept, same story, etc... it would be at least somewhat highly regarded today.

oh wait, it was... it was called 'karate kid'.

i hate that people hate on movies today just because they're "hip" or "with the times" or whatever, when a great deal of very good movies have always been that way. sure, this movie appeals to the "OC" and "MTV" crowd, but that doesn't mean it's going to be bad.
