Hey guys, I just decided to catch up on Batman by buying issues #1-7. Does anyone know if this series will cross-over into other titles, or is DC planning on keeping each title its own series? For example, will the continuity of Batman bleed over into another title like B&R, or will this series always be a consecutive 1,2,3,4,5,6,7, etc?

In other words, will it turn into some B.S. where you have to buy Blah-Blah #789 to follow the story in This-That #26, which was continued in Something-Something #56?

I only ask for two reasons: 1. I'm poor, and want to follow this series as economically as possible. 2. I hate it when comics do this inter-weaving stuff (which is probably why DC rebooted in the first place, because of people like me.)

Thanks everyone!

The story is crossing over with other Bat-Titles this summer in the Night of the Owls storyline.
DC has said they are changing up the way they do crossovers like this, so I'm not positive it will be necessary to buy each tie-in or not. Google Night of the Owls and see what pops up.

Yeah this pretty much.

The main story will be self contained to the self titled book. Anything else is a plus for people like me who buy some of the other books. If they interest you anyway get them but they won't be necessary at all.

B&R and Morrison's series are going to overlap; Morrison and Tomasi both confirmed this but I assume it'll be much the same way. More complimentary but not necessary and not something that will mess with the story either writer is trying to tell overall in anyway.

Yep the crossover stories are extras but the main story will be told in Batman

Which is different, than say War Games, I imagine, which was a cluster **** of a crossover that had main plot points all over the damn place.

I like to pretend that the horror that was War Games/War Crimes never happened
