1 of my friends was at the SD comic con this year. At one of the DC panels, the question was asked if DC really needs to draw out the story it is telling in 52. Does it really need to be 52 weeks? The response from DC was that 52 is NOT refering to the number of weeks this series will run .... when pressed as to wtf that means, DC said, keep reading.....

so 52 is NOT 52 weeks, but something more.... the ploy thickens.....

52 bottles of beer on the wall?

Hm. I'm sure this is connected to whatever Red Tornado (or at least pieces of him) was rambling about in that one issue.

ah DC fooled everybody! wicked! maybe that explains why its been running on scedule -- it could be over in a week or two ;)

Thank you SO MUCH for telling me to keep reading! I thought I didn't have to read any more, but you told me to keep reading, and boy oh boy, did it pay off, because there were EVEN MORE WORDS! Thank you!

your welcome & remember those immortal words of samuel L jackson: There are snakes on the muth $#@! plane!!!!!!:eek::up:

and I di dnot say keep reading, it was the dc dude at the con!

We know 52 isn't refering to the number of weeks. The series has repeatably refered to the 52.

but they skipped one year later
52 weeks are missing
the series is called 52
it seems like that was what they were referring to, with lots of little references to 52 being in-jokes
now it seems like more

Now it seems like more? How about the refrence in Legion of Super Heroes?

Or the 52 missing seconds?

Or "52!! 52!!"

Or seeing past the two score and twelve walls of heaven or whatever Devilance was talking about?

yeah... whats your point? the only real refernce that could give it any meaning was the "its coming! 52! 52!". there wasnt enough evidence it was anything more before. this thread (and the first post) just helps confirm that.

Did you not read Purple Man's post right before yours? He just listed all the references that gave it meaning.

well the 52 missing seconds thang was, i assume, what was written on that time-lord-dude's blackboard and wasnt exactly concrete classification of something more. i mean, they drnk at 52pickup right? so am i instantly supposed to think that's significant?? its been building. my only point was that it isnt yet obvious. as to the legion thing i have no idea/ cant remember what thats reference to.

So the fact that everything occurs one year later and that the 52 series is a weekly only showing one week's worth of events in each issue

still adds up to 52 issues the way I do math.

Unless on week 36 they say something like: and nothing happened for the next six months...

The fact that the number 52 has been popping up a lot should be a massive clue that the number 52 is important.

Put the numbers into letters 5 being E and 2 being B... E.B now think of that of initials... Yes Ernest Borgnine will be revealed as the already established character to make their comic debut. The cult of Conner will show it's true mission and that is of the ressurection of popular actor Ernest Borgnine in an attempt to take revenge on the the creators of the remake of Poseidan Adventure... I know this a bit much but take a moment to let it sink in.
