DCs 52: San Diego Comic con: its NOT what you think it is!

1 of my friends was at the SD comic con this year. At one of the DC panels, the question was asked if DC really needs to draw out the story it is telling in 52. Does it really need to be 52 weeks? The response from DC was that 52 is NOT refering to the number of weeks this series will run .... when pressed as to wtf that means, DC said, keep reading.....
so 52 is NOT 52 weeks, but something more.... the ploy thickens.....

The series is running 52 issues, aka 52 weeks. Thats not irrefutable, at all. What your friend didnt explain to you clearly is that the number 52 has another meaning as well within the book. ****, not that hard to follow.

I was at the convention myself and I didn't hear anyone say "52 is NOT refering to the number of weeks this series will run." Much less being pressed about it. According to DC: This series is suppose to fill in the missing year. They said they are being very careful about who stars in it since a lot of people are already reading One Year Later. They don't want to mess up the time line (ex. killing someone in 52 while they are currently appearing in a One Year Later comic).

I was at the DC: 52 panel, but maybe someone said something different at a different panel (where your friend was at) or maybe I got distracted by the HOT Wonder Woman sitting next to me?

i'll give you it does not ONLY mean 52 issues. there might be a spin-off but how can a weekly book based on a missing year not have 52 issues to it??
