New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Brawler Announced For 3DS. June 30, 2014 . 10:59am

Activision have announced a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game for the Nintendo 3DS, which will tie into the upcoming movie.

Activision have announced a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game for the Nintendo 3DS, which will tie into the upcoming movie directed by Jonathan Liebesman.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for 3DS will be a third-person action game developed by Magic Pockets, a studio based in Paris, France. They worked on the previous Ninja Turtles game, too.

The new TMNT game focuses on hack-and-slash gameplay and will let the player swap between the four turtles on-the-fly.

Each turtle will feature their own skills and differences. For example; Raphael possesses brute strength while Michelangelo is more focused on speed. You’ll be able to upgrade the turtles over time, gaining new levels, abilities and stat points. You’ll also be able to craft new weapons for them using materials you collect during the game.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be released sometime this Summer.

The new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles mobile game has a story penned by Tom Waltz, the same contributing author for the comic series from IDW Publishing. The game itself is developed by Combo Crew and is meant to help promote the upcoming live-action movie.

The mobile version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a 3D side-scrolling action brawler which lets players take on the persona of one of the four turtles—Leonard, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael—and beat down on bad guys such as the Foot clan and mutants.
There are two modes, Story and Survival. You’ll be able to upgrade each turtle with better skills and weapons, and also chain attacks together into a Turtle Power attack which has all four “toitles” combining forces.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is out now on iOS and Android. A separate game, also based on the movie, is planned for release on the Nintendo 3DS this year, and will be published by Activision.

I worked at a store and no joke I sorted through a tote that had the TMNT 3DS game. I said it would be bad...and I'm probably right.
