Smash Bros + Ninja Gaiden = TMNT!?

Citing Nintendo Power, the story notes that the untitled fighter is being developed by Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Team Ninja veterans.

More sketchy information has pegged the game as a 2.5D fighter, published by Ubisoft and aimed for a September 2009 release. The supposed feature list appears comparable to Brawl, with story, battle and tournament modes, as well as online multiplayer.

This sounds like fun. TMNT: Tournament Fighters was one of my favorite games on the Genesis, and if the Smash Bros. people are involved, it's bound to be a solid fighting game, at least.

I thought I was the only one who was in love with this game lol I have been waiting for them to make an updated version of the game.. Looks like this is the closest thing imma get lol... I can't wait for this

I'm a little worried for this game. On the one hand, it's cool that they've got probably the best 4-person fighter developer working on it, but on the other hand, it's practically guaranteed to feel derivative of Super Smash Bros. because of that. Either way, I just hope it's a good game with a lot of characters from all over TMNT's rich history, but I'm still a little worried.

GASP! Ow I just hate you Xbox! Why can't we get that on the PS network, or even the Wii downloadable games? Why is it always xbox that gets the really good stuff. Cause I would love to play this game. Man... am I gonna have to buy an xbox?
