This was announced awhile back. Cletus Kasady is dead and gone, and apparently it's going to attach itself to a new, female host. I'm not sure how I feel about that, as I kinda liked Kasady.

New host = meh. I also liked Kasady and thought he could fill a great niche as the Marvel universe's resident chaotic psycho. If he's out, I'm passing on it.

The symbiote will have a new female host. The premise is that the symbiote, which is a offspring of Venom, was essentially a baby symbiote when it was attached to Kasady, and now the symbiote is now a young adult. What they are exploring is kind of like having child who grew up in an f'ed up environment and what they become as an adult. In this case, Carnage's father/mother Venom was a vengeful and vindictive entity and then its adopted parent Kasady was just a psychotic mass murdering lunatic so what does this mold Carnage into. It possesses all of Venom's and Kasady's strength and none of their weaknesses. How do you stop a natural born killer?

No plans on buying this. Cletus is Carnage, not some beyotch that Marvel just decides to throw the symbiote on. Same as T'challa as DD. The shhh doesn't make sense.
