New Devil May Cry 4 Hands on

He was kinda like Raiden in MGS. I had fun playing with him but I'd rather have Snake. Theres more to Neros story though and it has to involve Dante. There resemblance cant be a passing thing. They said he had the blood of Sparda didnt they. It be interesting to see where they go.

Nero's EXCEED combos are really great. My tip to Nero players: Save up Proud Souls (after buying must have moves like Streak, Split and the Air Combo) to get EXCEED MAX. This allows you to charge the EXCEED Gauge in Mid-Combo (if you get your timing down. Easy enough) and lets you hit moves like DOUBLE DOWN or EXCEED BLAST-OFF. Add that to your Devil Grip and you'll be hitting SSS Ranks with ease.

The Pandoras box was so underdeveloped. 666 forms? Definitely have some fun with that.

I'm just curious where the future of the series goes from here. By the end of the game, I really really enjoyed Nero. I want to see his story play out, but I certainly don't want Dante and the others gone either.

I reckon they will have another DMC where you play as Dante for a bit then Switch to Nero, like in DMC4. I think they should let you play for dante longer next time though.

Story wise it has to be the return of Virgil and more backstory about Nero. then id say maybe tie in DMC2 in there somwere. Also in that bring in where dante got the coin from that he uses in DMC2.here me out first lol

Hounestly i think if they set a game after DMC2 just start it where it ended, have Dante go back to his shop and be like "what a day.." then have lady walk in and be like "whats up, why the mood" then dante can just say "meh i was hungry...i wanted pizza but couldnt get it"

I'd ****ing love that lol

I love that weapon, before i didnt really care about it but i got the other moves for it and love that damn thing :D

its so fun to use lol

I had a blast with the weapon myself. I also used the flying station to reach several orbs I couldn't get to otherwise. :D

No more Vergil he already came back once as Nelo.

What is the timeline of these games? I saw somewhere else that the timeline was 3,1,4,2,but is there any evidence that 2 comes last?

I like that idea with about finding out where the coin came from.

yeah they said 2 was last.

nah, vergil HAS to come back. He much to good of a character to be left out.

I hated that coin, crap. He's Dante, not Two-Face.:whatever:
Anyway, yes 4 comes before 2 and after 1&3. This was discussed in an issue of GI when they were previewing the game.

Thanks for the info about the timeline.

Is two face the only character allowed to flip a coin now?:whatever: Not that im attached to the coin, but 2 face is a stupid reason not to do it. It is just a coin Im sure there cant be that much significance anyway.

Meh he didnt use it like two face at all, cos at the end you found out the coin had the same design on each side, so whatever side it landed he would of helped.

I'm not saying that there isn't anybody else that flips a coin in order to make their decisions, but I used Two-Face as a reference since he's afmous for doing that. I don't think Dante should resort to flipping a coin in order to determine if he should help somebody. That's what the 3rd game was about: Dante killed demons for the sheer thrill of it, he was just a kid who treated demon-slaying as a game. But, by the end of the game, he grew up and realized that what he does is no game at all. He realized what was at stake: The world. That's why his brother whupped his ass at first. Cuz Dante was too cocky. He wasn't fighting for anything. But Virgil WAS. And Dante won in the end because he finally FOUND something to fight for.
What I really want to know is: Why did he stop caring? He's using a COIN to make his decisions now? WHY??!! The world was at risk and he really didn't seem to care. I remember a scene in 2 where Dante and Lucia found some item (I can't remember what it was, but it was important) and she said,

"This is IT! Now we can stop Arius."

And Dante replied,

"Whatever."

Yeah, maybe he just wanted to make it seem like he was a d#$k, but was actually a nice guy.

Pretty much. I cant remeber much of DMC2 since i played it ages ago, but i think they should give a reason for him being like that, and then him comming out of it and being the same dante we all know. or even remove it from continuity lol

the developers knew the screwed up when they made him moody, now the fans want a reason for it.

i still think they should go with my idea.. lol :D

You seem to answer your own question in your other post but defense mechanism. Keep from growing attachments. Also the John McLane syndrome, he doesnt WANT to do it, but he knows he HAS to.

They should do a game about Vergil. He was a badass.

Yeah, but I still want to know why he acts like that. How old is Dante supposed to be in 2? In fact, does Dante age like regular people, or is he immortal? In fact, what year do the DMC games even take place?

(head explodes)
