First thing's first before anybody tries to contest anything I say here out of "technicalities" I consider Outsiders and Secret Six part of the bat family of books because they prominently feature gotham city, proteges & some of the oldest allies of the Batman or some of Gotham's most well known rogues in starring roles.

With that said OK we've been into the new status quo for about 8 months now so what's the consensus on the new bat family books guys? your thoughts on this please

Me? I think Detective feat Batwoman and Batman & Robin are ****ing phenomenal to me those are some of the best bat family books in history and I'm loving every minute of these runs.

Streets of Gotham is my third favorite I love the tone of the writing on it and always enjoyed Nguyen's art. Outsiders remains pretty strong probably the tightest it's been written during this volume thanks to Tomasi. Secret Six well that one speaks for itself.

Sirens isn't too bad either it's on an off though but certainly more entertaining than BATMAN which is serviceable at best but has been the most dissapointing outside of Red Robin which sometimes makes me yawn.

Though I admit now that Winnick is off BATMAN it's been far more interesting. I'm not even reading Batgirl cause I was never a fan of Stephanie in the first place and gave the first issue a shot only to be bored to tears.

I'd give the new era overall a solid B+ thus far

Yeah i think the new comics are cool. I mean you could argue that Streets of Gotham is pointless because it's just Detective Comics from Dini with a new name, but hey the more the merrier? The writing has been cool and Dustin Nguyen's art is awesome as hell.

I'm glad Batwoman is getting her very own deserved comic, but it makes me wonder will Streets get canceled and Paul returns to Detective comics. Batman comic itself was dull with Winnick's arc to be honest, but i really ove Tony Daniel's research on the 70s comics and now doing his cool new arc.

Batman and Robin has been +A phenonimal. I mean i understand some hated Tan's art but the guy did solid job showing a dark grim atmosphere with Jason Todd's new crime fightning path.

Red Robin has been so-and-so to be honest. Morrison finally opened the door for Tim to grow up and become an adult man, and now he is as the Red Robin. =) It's going to be very interesting with the new status quo when Bruce returns to see how this effects Tim Drake and especially the now trained Damian Wayne.

I also love how Dini and Morrison write Damian. He's such a likeable ******* that you can only cheer for!

I hope they keep Streets as it's own thing, it really reminds me of a new Shadow of the Bat. When Batwoman gets her solo book I would like Red Robin to be canned and Tim moved over to 'tec so they could showcase what he does best and hopefully have a better writer at the helm than Yost (if only Dixon wasn't on the outs with DC), but that probably won't happen.
