The main problem for me was that they waaaaay overdid Jess's "adorkable"-ness to the point that it was not only completely unfunny and painful to watch, but I was left wondering if this person was supposed to have some sort of social disorder. She seemed emotionally and mentally to be a child. Thankfully they've toned her down a lot, to the point where she's actually a likable and relatable person while retaining that dorkiness she was always meant to have.

Yeah, that bugged me too. She was almost unbearable in the first episodes but I kept with it.
