I haven't got a clue as to WHERE you got "laughably bad" from.

I get the feeling one could photoshop Schreiber’s head on the body of a tabby cat and you would find it awesome. You’re obviously excited about the movie, and that’s fine. I’m obviously more critical, and that’s fine too.

As for how I came to my conclusion regarding the pictures, it probably stems from the same mindset of other posters who refer to them as dodgy, unnatural, and poorly photoshopped. Specifically, in my opinion, there is nothing creative about any of the pictures—one of them is simply a screenshot from the trailer. The rest look like concept art of much better shots already seen in the trailer. The lighting is unnatural, the proportions are unnatural, and the blending is unnatural. The composition of the pictures is poor. If the studio isn’t going to present anything new, and can’t match or improve upon what’s already been shown, then why bother? I’m not simply criticizing the pictures to be a party pooper. I simply think they can do better. I know they can do better, and I think it’s important that they do better, because if it looks like the studio can’t be bothered to give a damn about its own product, then why should I or anybody else?

the pics are cool. if you throw away all that technical caviar, they are cool pics of the film's stars.

They're promo shots. Big deal. They're not going to look perfect, they amp them up to make them look surreal. But they did clearly try and cut corners by just using the trailer caps... which is stupid, because you would think they would have access to the higher-quality footage it came from.

Maybe Fox is being really careful with the film to prevent leaks, to the point of not even letting the marketing guys have any additional film.

Either way, Gambit looks cool.

It's irritating when you're excited about something like this...like most of the posters here-and then you'll get one or two posters saying: This sucks ass...or a variation thereof.

I just cannot believe in the whole of FOX's marketing department, someone approved those images! They look fan made (low level amateur). Cause some manips apparently are and can be better looking. Not working anywhere, and being someone who toys every now and then with photos, I KNOW I could do better than those with the movies resources..
Not that there might be much in the first place.
But compared to what was given to AiCN awhile ago, this is petty, and frustrating.
They do spend MILLIONS of dollars in marketing, right?

So what if its photoshopped. Everything is photoshopped these days. Its a promo pic, not a film still. Its more like a poster than anything else. These are going to look great for online advertisements and stuff.
